My dayz pass quickly!! I get SO TIRED I can't even stay awake to post.. Between scrubbing cages after 5 monkeys, doing laundry for 5 monkeys, getting, chopping, and preparing food for 5 monkeys, and feeding/tending to 5 dogs, 9 cats, 2 pigs, 4 chickens, and 1 parrot it's hard to find time to clean my own home and do my own laundry.. I don't mind though!! They are worth the effort!! They AMAZE me EVERY day!! There is NOTHING on Earth that can make my heart smile like a monkey can!! They are for sure #MyPassion

IT'S SO HARD TRYING TO BE PERFECT BECAUSE I AM NOT!! I was in a MASSIVE hurry yesterday morning to go pick up #HannahMae and get her to the vet!! I got up at 5:45 a.m. and started feeding/putting everyone up for the day!! I was trying to make sure everyone got extra goodies because I had 10 hours of driving to do plus the time it takes to load the animals and Kathy into the car along with surgery time and such at the vet.. My mind was racing with what all I needed to do to make all this happen.. I arrived back home at 10:30 p.m. and head to the barn to find THIS!! Obviously I left #Bugs and #PennyRose's master lock off the cage and they partied ALLLLLLLLLLLLLLLL day long!! They got into the bird seed and humming bird juice!! They have messed their TV antenna up where it connects into the television!! I was able to mess with it and get it back on THANK GOD!! For a minute I thought they went through ANOTHER television!! They cleaned out the closet and played in the bag of old clothes!! The lights was off so they all had to sit in total darkness for God only knows how long!! The good news is I DID remember the lock on the door leading outta there so their party was confined to the room they was in!! I have it swept up now but still must get a hose to wash out the humming bird juice that is sticking to the floor.. Thank God it was just a big mess and nobody got hurt.. When people ask me if I leave the monkeys alone in the house when I am gone I laugh at them and say NO WAY!! This is why I don't!! THEY HAVE THUMBS!!!

Got a new delivery driver from #UPS.. He carried my packages to my door!! They are usually left at the garage and I have to carry them.. BEST OF ALL he was SOOOOOOOOOO EXCITED because a place he had been to earlier today had exotics and now he found monkeys!! His excitement was AMAZING!! Made my day.. I think he likes his new route

SCORE!!! Went to #Toyota and they was gonna charge me over $500.00 for a new key a few weeks ago.. I didn't get it!! I have been a nervous wreck about my keys since I lost my other set chasing cows a couple months ago.. IF I lose the only one I have it would take towing my 4runner to Toyota and having them do all kinds of crazy stuff probably costing a $1,000 or more by the time they are done.. DON'T WANNA DO THAT EITHER!! Living with monkeys makes things like this even MORE SCARY!! Loosing it isn't my only problem!! #BugsBullock destroyed one costing me over $300 to replace.. I have been flirting with disaster running around with only one key. Then the other day I noticed a chunk taken outta the side of my key jacket on the only key there is!! I started kicking myself in the butt thinking YOUR GONNA BE VERY SORRY YOU DIDN'T PAY THAT $500 AFTER THOSE MONKEYS TEAR THIS KEY UP AND YOUR OUT A TOW BILL AND EVERYTHING!!! I told myself I MUST get a key made whatever it cost!! Of course I haven't made it back over to do that either BUT I pulled into #Sams to get monkey veggies and they had a special guy here in a van making them for what turned out to be LESS than HALF of what #BeechmontToyota was gonna charge!! THANKZ #SAMSCLUB!!

Nothing like some hard core serious PAIN to make you sweat!! I fell out of the tractor. Yes you read that right!! I missed the first step on my way out.. Tried to catch myself pulling my back out and twisting me to the point my knee came back around and hit the metal pointy step!! IT HURT DELUXE!! INSTANT SWEAT!! My knee is feeling better now but my back left side is still hurting.. I MUST LEARN TO GO DOWN STEPS!! It takes me to long to recover any more

Today I had to take one of our oldest cows to her final resting place. She has lived here her whole life and was LOVED by the whole heard. She got down in the creek and couldn't get back out. VERY SAD!! As I worked to pull her from the creek/mud the heard watched and bawled for her. They was getting very upset and making me nervous they may charge me. They clearly was upset by her death and didn't understand what I was doing to her.. As I pulled her to her final resting place they called and called to her.. Did you know cows have best friends?? They honestly do.. Because we eat cows we try not to think of them as emotional beings but they really are!! This video shows the entire heard morning the loss of a great friend/family member.. After unhooking her from the tractor they were given time to say their good-byes.. Watch as they each take time to walk up and see her one last time . Reminds me of being at a funeral and going up to view the body.. It's like they stand in line for their turn to say a final bye.. Some of them reach down and actually kiss/touch her on the way by.. It's clear they DO love and feel loss..RIP Old Lady.. You was loved by many..

Just had the DUMBEST feeling come over me after I walked in the door and took my boots off!! I WASNT DONE YET!! I HAD 2 MORE ROLLS OF HAY TO PUT OUT!! I got back to the barn and Eli was having a panic attack so I got down and messed with him.. Then I loaded 2 more rolls for the next feeding, shut the gate, scraped my boots and came home.. WTH?? I don't know what made me think I was done from the time I pulled up and saw Eli to loading up the next two rolls!!! Oh well at least they got 6 rolls before I lost my train of thought!! That will last them a minute..

That feeling that comes over you when you get half way to the store and realize you still have on the slip on old pair of shoes that is used for quick runs out to the barn that really should have been thrown out a couple years ago.. I get so many things going at once I can't do any of them right I came in with muddy boots from feeding the cows so I took the boots off.. Then I slipped these on to run a snack to the barn for the babies.. On the way back from the barn I started messing with filling the dog feeder and next thing I know I was on 52 with trash feet

Sad to report my right rubber boots has started leaking worse!! It makes me sick to think I am gonna have to replace them when they still look new and only half of them is broken/leaking!! They have been my cage scrubbing tool for many years and they are begging for retirement!!! HOWEVER I think I am gonna try to silicone them before letting them go!! It's worth a try!! Just one of the things you do when we really appreciate/love something

SUPER LOUD SHOUT OUT TO BARBARA FINWICK AND PURE HOME EFFICIENCY FOR THE INSULATION AND HELP INSTALLING IT!!!
When Barbara saw my post about the monkey barn being so cold and needing insulation she quickly snapped into action offering her company to skip her Christmas bonus this year if they would donate the HIGH TECH NASA APPROVED insulation that they pay her to market.. Her company #PureHomeEfficency did in deed agree to donate enough to do the entire ceiling of their barn!! THEN BARBARA SHOWED UP WITH HER DOG GINGER, THE INSULATION, HER WORK CLOTHES, AND GREAT ATTITUDE!!! She handed me everything I needed saving me from crawling in and out!! We worked hard trying to tuck it from corner to corner!! It looks like a big blanket of aluminum foil across the top.. There are many holes and areas I found that could use some spray foam for their added comfort.. I hope to get that done before it's gets to cold as well.. WHAT WE DONE HASSSS TO MAKE A MAJOR DIFFERENCE!! I can't wait to see how well space insulation works!!! Probably the most high tech thing on the farm Ginger guarded the house for us keeping everything safe and sound!! She was such a delight to have around!! SOOOOOOOOOOO ADORABLE and we'll behaved.. I was impressed.. THANK YOU BARBARA FOR ALLLLLLLLLLLLLLLL YOUR EFFORTS!! YOU HAVE CHANGED THEIR LIFE TO A WHOLE NEW COMFORT LEVEL &&& LEFT THE DONATION DEBRA ANN WEISS MADE TO PAY THE 2021 OHIO PERMIT FEE'S!!! YOUR INCREDIBLE GIFT HAS A RIPPLING EFFECT!!!

Them boyscouts sure worked hard yesterday!! They sure earned that badge!! I believe they all had fun in spite of the heat.. It was certainly different than most field trips I bet.. They LOVED #LouieRay and he enjoyed the day of activity going on.. THANK YOU TROOP 420 AND LEADERS FOR CHOOSING TO HELP MISFITLAND!!! It really means a LOT!!

#Bugs gets excited each day as the workers make progress He isnt sure WHAT'S happening but knows SOMETHING BIG is going on and rushes each day to check out what they have done as soon as his door is ublocked. They was 5 panels short of being able to finish but they do have it in stock and should be here tomorrow. Unfortunately the rain could be too SO CROSS YOUR FINGERS THAT IT HOLDS OFF TILL THEY ARE DONE BUILDING 😉it keeps stopping them every other day it seems 😑 SOON WE RELEASE HIM and he can be out rain or shine his choice 😎

#Bugs was super excited to see the workers show up today after having to miss yesterday due to rain. They are close to getting having it fully framed and will be ready for wire soon depending on the weather. They are calling for rain tomorrow afternoon again 🙄i have found a dog house to hang up for him so he can get back to sleeping outside like he enjoys doin in the Summer 😁 trying to come up with some more big rope but only got one so far 🤔 this is EXCITING I can't wait for him to be loose out here 😎

The grass is definitely greener on the other side says #BugsBullock as he sits watching the construction taken place on the other side of his fence 🙄 he has NO IDEA this is all for him 😉he has no idea how much his every day life is about to change 😏 he has no clue that here in no time he will be touching that green grass with his own feet BUT HE WILL 😁 we have decided to make it a bit larger than we first planned but it only makes sense to do it now vs wishing we had afterwards 😎 he needs every inch he can get 🤗

GROUND BREAKING ON #BUGS NEW SUNSHINE PEN 🤗 the men are here and work has started 😎 Bugs is supervising from inside because he can't be trusted to keep his hands inside the cage while workers are near 🙄 dont worry though #LouieRay is outside watching up close and personal from his side of the pen making sure they are doing it right 🤣 this has them both in a uproar because they are clueless as to WHY these guys are here and making all this ruckus in their space 🤔 if Bugs could only understand being locked up for a few hours is gonna provide him a freedom he has missed for years 🤨Life is about to change 😊 HE WILL BE HUNTING IN THE GRASS SOAKING UP THE SUN SOON 🤗

September 7 · Wore my boots Holly got me for Christmas to work yesterday because my old work boots sole completely ripped off doing the wire roof of the monkey pen 😭😭😭 they was the exact same boots as pictured here just older 😂🤣 I wish I hadn't thrown them away they deserved a picture 🤣🤣 they were ROUGH looking 🤣🤣 after one day in the monkey pen my Christmas boots are scuffed up SOOOOO I wanted to get a picture of the new ones BEFORE they head out the door and loose their perfectness 😎😍😅 &&&& to say THANK YOU TO HOLLY FOR ALWAYS KEEPING MY FEET DRY 😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍

August 24 at 5:48 PM · So close! Unfortunately Chuck Fritz and I had to go home. We rented the RV until the morning and have to be at work Monday morning. Now we are sad, sore, and defeated! Thankfully we raised extra funds for Teresa Bullock to hire someone to finish it. Weather kicked our asses!!! I’d say we are 95% complete! Fingers crossed we get a reveal with the monkeys very soon. We can’t thank Kari Thurmer, Stephanie Glancy, Shannine C Feehly and David Bedell enough!!! Without them.... our dream would still be a dream! I didn’t even get to tell Louie goodbye! 😭

5 hrs · The Lord is really testing our resolve on building the Fritz monkey pen project. From blistering oven like temperatures Friday thru Tuesday, to a great day Wednesday to this morning’s Wizard of Oz like storm which has soaked our campsite, to what extent, I don’t know yet cause we can’t go outside due to its wrath.
We are good people! We’ve given so much!!! WHY is this happening!?!?!? 😩😭

18 hrs · She’s coming together. Minimal injuries! Got my finger nicked with a chainsaw! 😳😬 Could have taken a whole hand! Kari Thurmer has done a few thumb smashes, and a good burn. Teresa doesn’t know it, but has blood running down a leg from a scratch. I was done when I smashed my knuckle!!! I made tacos for dinner and we’re all in bed in the daylight. Got a few more panels going up, then the roof.

I miss me bed and grandkids TERRIBLY! My stink stanks! If I don’t come home a size 3 I’m gonna be PISSED! 😂

August 20 at 10:43 PM · Back to night photos! All the 12’ beams were cut down. NOT an easy task 10’ in the air on a ladder with a chainsaw dropping 4’ of 6x6 beams and not breaking a thing! 😊 Door framing started. Tomorrow ceiling joist and fencing! Please say a prayer for the cooler weather to stay! We are so productive in cool weather! This has taught Chuck Fritz and I we aren’t young anymore, working in the heat and humidity can just about kill you and we are privileged to work in air conditioning every day, and we have AMAZING friends to come together with us to fulfill someone else’s dream. There are no words to thank them. Pictures don’t show progress, but today was huge!

August 19 at 10:08 PM · Hard to take night time progress photos. Second story is going up. Progress is hard to see, but all the second level beams are cut and just ready to be attached. The door is almost framed out. Louie got a much needed hair cut!

The new pen is coming along 😁😎 the heat has gotten to everyone so a split shift of morning and evening is gonna be worked to complete it 😉😊 the humidity in Ohio is rough in August so dehydration is a big factor 🤨 tried to share the whole album but can't figure out how 🙄 these are the beginning photos

For years I've been following a non-profit called Misfitland in Moscow, Ohio. Many of you have donated and I appreciate it more than you know!!! They have many misfits, but they focus on primates. MY PASSION! Monkeys!! I've always been intrigued by their intelligence. Teresa Bullock, founder of Misfitland, is an amazing woman who loves animals like no other. She was hit by a tornado a few years back and she's been trying to restore what was destroyed mainly by herself.
My husband, Chuck, and I drove out there for a weekend in early May to help out and see what all needs to be done. Needless to say, we were overwhelmed. We didn't make a dent in what needs done! How this woman does what she does by herself is merely by the grace of God. I have a complete write up about was has transpired throughout the last few months... but in a nutshell she needs us! She needs materials donated or money donated to Misfitland to purchase material or to pay laborers. She needs 2"X2"-16 guage wire panels, 6"X6" post, concrete, hardware, 2"x4", etc...
Chuck Fritz and I plan to go back out in August and spend maybe a week to build the pen (example pic of pen below) to go around her fountain. We're going to try and rent an RV to just stay there on her property so we can be right there, not having to waste valuable time traveling from town.
We have created a campaign to raise funds for her cause. We've had a few donate already, but one that blew our mind was from Gerry and Jack Holmes from G2.
When there in August we plan to make a banner with all our sponsors... G2, Bulldog Estimating & Scheduling, Normco Cascade, Apex and many others that have stated they plan to contribute. If in any way you want to provide any help, be it monetary, volunteering, discounts and supply stores.... Chuck, Teresa, Misfitland and I will be eternally grateful!
I can't put into words the love this woman has in her! She's had life throw so many monkey wrenches her way... but she's dodged them all and got up ready to start again. We love her and will do whatever we can to support this wonderful cause.
