About Our Primate Sanctuary!
Our Scantuary
Misfitland occupies some 300+ acres. We are not yet a full primate sanctuary, but working towards that goal. We have the land, we certainly have the love!
It is our goal to offer animals a quiet, sheltered place to spend their lives. We hope to build a state of the art facility that monkeys can call home. To remove all suffering from primates. We plan on adding a fence that will allow the animals to move freely from inside to outside safely. We will be adding climbing structures, fences, and a heated (when needed) place to sleep at night.
Keeping so many animals fed is going to be a monumental task. Many sanctuaries- in an average day, can prepare approximately 300 pounds of fresh fruit, vegetables, grains, and pasta (*figure is from a sanctuary with 40 primiates). To ensure that amount of feed, an industrial kitchen will be required that would rival that of any gourmet restaurant.
