They are both SO SLEEPY but they BOTH think the most comfortable place to be is tucked tightly under my chin.. I gotta admit I can't sleep well without at least one of them tucked tight each night.. #PennyRose and #BugsBullock spend their inside time fussing over WHO gets to hold Baby #AliceRae!! Alice really eats up the undivided attention she gets from the troop around here and just kinda goes with the flow.. She is my little Dennis The Menace bursting with energy and ALWAYS up to something.. I can't imagine what a handful she is going to be over the years!! She is already ornery and completely full of herself at almost 7 months old.. Most important she pays attention to EVERYTHING taken in each action I am doing and learning each day as she is dropped over my shoulder like a wet towel.. She stays with me like a magnet.. Looking forward to seeing how her personality and brain develops over the 45 plus years to come..

Alice Rae is a 6.5 month old black cap capuchin monkey... She is the newest addition to our troop here at Misfitland Monkey Rescue. After her birth mother passed away we was called in to help separate her from the other adult capuchins and the dead mother's body that she refused to leave.. She was a very scared little girl when she arrived.. She had never been handled by a human and didn't understand WHY she had been kidnapped..At first she just wanted her head covered and to be left alone.. My touching her always made her jump and she didn't want my hands to be on her any longer than necessary.. I wore my shirts backwards so she could ride safely in the hood keeping her with me 24/7 near my heart.. She slowly started peeping her head out and taking things in . She quickly recognized the other monkeys and was leary of them.. She already had a hole in her nose from a canine tooth and knew the danger she could have been in. Slowly she has bonded to all the monkeys with Ralphie D being the the last to accept her presents and enjoy her.. After all HE has been the baby up until now . Bugs Bullock thinks she BELONGS to him and will put ANYONE in line that doesn't treat Alice up to his standards!! I TRULY LOVE MY JOB SOCIALIZING MONKEYS!! Seriously HOW did I get so BLESSED???? They own me.. Life is too short to fit in!!

She is having a MAJOR blast and feeling safe in the company of the big monk kidz.. The Macaque's tolerate her but only because she is a baby and I keep a CLOSE eye on them.. Monkeys get very jealous very fast so close supervision is a MUST for safety!!! It's important to always make sure they ALL know how important they are and how much that I LOVE them.. They own me . Life is too short to fit in!!

#AbbyLouise tending to #AliceRae.. Alice is doing a lot better today and don't seem as sad.. She still likes to be able to HIDE even if it is just her head.. She thinks if she doesn't see us we can't see her.. She isn't running away from me today.. As a matter of fact I feel like she came to the blanket after I came back from feeding the cows.. I have let her walk to the monk barn sitting in her sling but it would make me nervous to take her to far in case she got the urge to run off.. Coming to the blanket was BIG!! When she runs away from me I let her go.. I don't want her to fear me so earning her trust takes patience.. I only force a diaper change.. Other than that I try to let her have some space and accept what all has changed in her life recently.. Abby Louise and #PennyRose are helping to distract her and occupy her mind.. They LOVE her and it shows!! They are good for each other

Got a call about a baby Capuchin monkey that had still been with its biological mother but the mother monkey had passed away and the baby would not let go of her decaying body.. The danger and problem was the baby and dead mother was protected by the father and other adult female capuchin.. Took a team effort but a plan was made and thank God successfully worked out.. Not only did we successfully get the baby safely but we was also able to make a trap door to make it easier to tend to the remaining 2 adults and separate them when necessary.. The baby is scared and of course misses home and the family there but seems to be adjusting better today.. I have to give that credit to Abby Louise and Penny Rose.. They are totally infatuated with her and can't keep their hands off her.. The constant care from them is taking her mind off her real family and focusing it on what's happening in front of her now IN A GOOD WAY.. I am so thankful for their help.. I hate thinking she is sad.. She had only seen humans from the inside of a fence in a very large enclosure before February 16th.. Even the fact that I am touching her has to be petrifying.. I think it's helping by seeing that the other monkeys are not afraid of me and of course that she is starting to see me as a food source.. lol.. I feel blessed to be her Humom.. She was born September 1, 2022.. They own me.. Life is too short to fit in!!
