Misfitland Monkey Rescue is feeling special.
April 18th 2024
OOOOOOO THESE #MonkKidz and their #Drama is gonna put me into a #NutHouse one day!!! We received 3 gift packages and I was EXTREMELY EXCITED to get them put up so I could get photos and say THANK YOU to #TishSherman and #MarianBachmeyer for the exciting new gifts.. #Jazzi’s birthday was day before yesterday so I wanted to make sure that one of the 2 new bright colorful swings went in her main area BUTTTTT I walked out the other day and #ReesieCup was on a swing with it going 99 mph.. IT WAS SOOOOOOOOOO CUTE!!! So when I saw the oblong one I thought THIS IS WHAT #ReeseBullock NEEDS!!!! Soooooo I put the saucer swing up where Jazzi, #GunnerBoeh and #OpieRae mostly play but I stole the flags from the oblong one and put on the saucer because capuchins LOVE Velcro so it makes more sense there!! Tish not only sent the oblong swing but she also sent a snack bag of crickets, grasshoppers, and meal worms!!! ALLLLLLLLLLLLLLL THE BABIES ARE DELIGHTED AND MUNCHING OUT ON THEM!! I had every intention of getting great photos/videos of their first reactions to the swings HOWEVER MY PHONE CAME UP MISSING!!! I live with a thief’s and pick picketers!! #TheStruggleIsReal!!! I didn’t stop at first thinking I must have put it on charge as I often do because it is can be very hazardous to have out AS THIS POST WILL TELL!!! Apparently I DID have it in my back pocket as I originally felt for when I climbed down off the ladder and tried to grab!! I went to walk inside to check the charger and of course spotted the door open and the floor I hadn’t swept in the right side of the porch pens and stopped to sweep it up, grab dishes, throw away trash on the way by.. YES I HAVE THE WORST ADHD EVER!!! This happens all day every day.. lol.. As I am sweeping and playing with Reese I look up at the window and spot JAZZI AND A PHONE UP ON THE TOP OF THE SLIDE!! At first it wasn’t a big deal because the monk kidz have loads of old phones as toys.. Then she sees me looking and starts hugging her phone and I thought that looks like a iPhone as I am saying I see you my pretty girl.. You’re so beautiful!! She was giving that adorable cocky grin that reminds me SO MUCH of #LouieRay that it melts my heart twice as fast as a monkey grin normally does.. I continued to sweep and when I got closer to the window I looked out again to speak to her.. She again starts grinning ear to ear before before jumping to rush across the pen STILL HOLDING HER STOLEN MERCHANDISE TIGHT TO HER CHEST!! Still not putting it altogether WHAT she had I finish sweeping up the floor and walked out to throw the food I swept up over to the pig and chickens.. When I turned around to go back inside I saw MY IPHONE CASE LAYING UNDER THE SLIDE!!! The little #PunkMonkey KNEW that one wasn’t hers and was taunting me with it the entire time!! She took a BUNCH of videos but they were very short.. I took a couple screenshots of her work.. My screen is busted in a few spots but Gunner gets the credit for the first crack making it easier for Jazzi to add to the damage.. Anyhoo I didn’t get the money shots of the babies and their new toys BUT I DID FIND MY PHONE anddddddd ITS USABLE!!! #THANKYOUGOD &&&&& #THANKYOU Tish and Marian for loving and #HELPING YOU CHANGE OUR WORLD

Look at her discovering the plug in part for this donated electric blanket.. She thinks she has really hit the jackpot with her awesome discovery.. I am sure she will spend much time figuring out exactly HOW she is going to remove the “EXTRA PARTS”.. We are extremely thankful to Andrea Fritz for sending her extra blankets for the monk kidz and other rescued animals here at Misfitland Monkey Rescue.. It means a LOT!! Life is too short to fit in!!!

OMGOSH THE MONK KIDZ AND I MUNCHED OUT DELUXE!!! We even let Ronnie Bullock have a few.. lol.. jk.. LOOK LOOK LOOK at the climbing rocks!!! They will all get to use them but Abby Louise NEEDS them!!! She has been here almost 2 years now and she has lost a small amount of weight but we still call her the fatty Abby who is like holding on to a potato that squirms around.. She has started jumping from here to there a little further than she used to but I don’t expect that she will ever be able to jump far and get around like the others due to the fact that they had broken her little tail years ago and it grew back to the side. That has to cause balance issues for her I would imagine… These rocks and handles are PERFECT for her tiny little hands and feet to grip on and climb with!!! SUPER DUPER LOUD THANK YOU TO KARON AND JOE MCGUIGAN!!! You made our day!! They own me!! Life is too short to fit in!!

I picked #RonnieBullock up from his field trip to Camp Joy yesterday.. First I told him how much his #BittyDog missed him and looked for him before saying to him YOU ARE TOTALLY NOT GOING TO BELIEVE WHAT TODD AND Jodi Thannum WENT AND DONE FOR FOR US NOW!!!!! He looked right at me EXCITED and asked what??? I said remember when I told you that they was getting new furniture and we get the old?? He says yeah.. I said remember how excited I was about that refrigerator?? He says yeah, the entire time he has a cheeky grin.. I said WELLLLL it turns out they decided to wait a couple more months on the appliances and I was FINE with that but Jodi being JODI went and ordered a BRAND NEW REFRIGERATOR FOR US!!!! It will be here Thursday!!! HE SAID YESSS!!!! THATS BECAUSE I AM THEIR FAVORITE KID!!! before QUICKLY changing his word to TEEN!! I MEAN I AM THEIR FAVORITE TEEN he said…. I cracked up!! I said OH so you think that’s it huh???? You don’t think it would have anything to do with the animals or anything????
