My name is #ReeseBullock aka #ReesieCup.. My #Bubby Ronald Bullock gave me that name when I moved in to Misfitland Monkey Rescue many moons ago.. Until then I was referred to as #BigMonkey.. I answered to it but I will admit I like having my own personal name #NoDoubt… When I was a wee little monk #TheHuman’s would touch me and make over me like I was the greatest thing since sliced bread.. By age 3 I was put in a small cage, #MyHuman referred to it as a #BigCage but my #PetHuman says that cage was a travel cage not a cage for 24/7 for anything let alone a #BigBoy like me.. I was in that cage for more than 5 years when the pet human showed up and took me cage and all… She brought a trailer and chainsaw across the states to pick me up.. She and #RonnieBullock had to cut and saw their way in to get me but they did it!!! LIFE IS SO DIFFERENT NOW!!! I have beds to lay on.. Toys to play with… A swimming pool of my own THAT I DEARLY LOVE TO SIT IN!!! I also enjoy washing my toys in the pool and letting my basketballs float.. I can slam my basketballs up and down in the water to make a wave.. It’s super cool #BelieveThat!!! At first the #Humom would not get in the pen with me because I was EASILY TRIGGERED by any loud noises.. Where I came from we didn’t have loud stainless steel bowls that are so loud when smacked together or dropped on a concrete floor so that took some getting used to!! Now I defend the human and warn ANYONE that comes near her not to even think about messing with her!! I help her clean now and even talk to her and let her know what she can and cannot throw away… She lovez it when I talk to her with my grunts.. She knows that I love her even though we don’t groom each other like the others.. That’s okay because over time she and I both know that too will happen.. We have the respect for each other that it takes to build trust therefore #AllThingsArePossible in time!! I have faith in that.. MY BIRTHDAY WILL BE HERE MARCH 17th I CANNOT WAIT TO CELEBRATE!!! SO I WAS TRYING TO CAPTURE REESES REACTION TO DARTH VADER.. Instead he just walks on like there isn’t some big ol plastic man standing there in his pen!!! WTHECK REESIE CUP???? Reese LOVEZ baby dolls and I have been VERY EXCITED to see what kinda reaction he was going to have to Darth!!! Talk about disappointment!!! I bought new pools for the monk kidz this year BUT I HAVE TO GET A DIFFERENT FILTER FOR THE THEM &&&&& STRONGER HOSE FITTINGS TO INSTALL so I have been filling their troughs up until I get around to getting the rest of the parts.. If you look closely you will see Gypsy Sue in the further pen playing in her water as well.. NOBODY REACTS TO THE BIG PLASTIC DARTH!!! Crazy HUH??? They own me!! Life is too short to fit in!!

#ReesieCup #TheMan #IAm!!! I am so big and so tough no way could you hold me in a small cage anymore!! I have the ability to run, jump, climb, swing, or anything else I wanna do!! I eat my veggies and that has made my muscles popping!!! I’m constantly told how HANDSOME I am and it’s a known fact that I am the BIGGEST man here!!! I poop bigger than the #RalphieD but I do admit he is my FAVORITE monk here at #Misfitland even though we can’t talk #TheHuman into allowing us to play together.. I mean we do interact through the fence but she absolutely will not allow me and him to be in the same space at the same time.. She says maybe in the years to come we can hands on play together but she is scared to death due to Ralph’s size and the fact I could harm him so easily.. She just doesn’t get it!!! WE ARE BUDDIES!!!!! WHYYYYYYYY WOULD RALPHIE BE TRYING SO HARD TO GET IN HERE WITH ME IF HE WAS SCARED??? I swear #HUMANS!!!!! They can be so unpredictable!! Here’s a video of me ENJOYING A SNACK!!! I usually cut up the fruit and veggies HOWEVER I have also noticed that he really likes to carry it over to a swing or his slide to enjoy as he gets to BUST INTO the item ripping out the inners of it on his own..  As you can see he is a VERY BIG BOY with a VERY BIG APPETITE!!! Monkeys spend up to 7 hours per day eating in the wild.. NOW THAT INCLUDES THE HUNT FOR THE FOOD AS WELL!! That is why we try VERY HARD here at Misfitland Monkey Rescue to provide BOTH the lavish lifestyle that humans teach them as babies AND THE WILD PLAY AREAS FOR HUNTING, CLIMBING, SWINGIN, SWIMMING, OR JUST BEING LAZY LAYING IN THE SUN CATCHING SOME RAYS WE WANT IT TO BE THEIR CHOICE AND THEIR HAPPINESS!!! I LOVE WATCHING THIS BOY THRIVE!!! Means more to me than you could ever imagine… He owns me.. Life is too short to fit in!!!

#ReesieCup enjoying his #EasterBasket.. There is #ZeroDoubt that the #DeviledEggs was by far his favorite of all time.. They get hard boiled eggs often so I guess it’s a bigger deal to have it spiced up some.. I admit that I probably haven’t made them for them since mid December.. I am a #BadHuman #IReckon BUT ITS TRUE THAT ABSENCE MAKES THE HEART GROW FONDER BECAUSE THEY ALL DEVOURED THEM AS THOUGH THEY WERE THE GREATEST THING SINCE KETCHUP!! It cracks me up that #ReeseBullock ALWAYS packs his jaws up to explosion size before stopping to eat even though he is well aware that none of the other monkz can get to his food dish to steal his food.. It’s a #VeryEnjoyable job being his #PetHuman!! #GreatestJobOnEarth #MonkeyRescue #HeOwnsMe #LifeIsTooShortToFitIn

She had found and given me a super old battery drill that the battery was dead on to have as my own but it never worked like hers does.. SOOOOOOOO SANTA BROUGHT ME MY VERY OWN DRILL THAT ACTUALLY WORKS!!!! Truth is I LOVE IT VERY MUCH!!!! I have been working on my pen day and night doing repairs!!! She keeps walking around saying WHATCHA DOING MY #REESIECUP???? I just look at her with my “WORKING” look on my face!! I mean seriously what’s it look like I am doing woman??? #HeOwnsMe #LifeIsTooShortToFitIn

He is always trying to get my drill as I work so I thought one that is the right size for his hands was a MUST when considering Christmas presents this year.. Listen to him running his little monkey lips!!! He truly cracks me up DELUXE!! He owns me!! Life is too short to fit in!!

#ReesieCup the #WildMan #IAm!!! Let me tell you something that many of you may not know.. I AM A REAL #RhesusMacaque #Monkey now!! I am not that shy backwards boy y’all seen the day Ronald Bullock and Teresa Bullock showed up to get me!!! I am stronger and bolder than I have ever been!! I am not staying up in the air ALL the time anymore!! When I first moved in here I couldn’t/wouldn’t climb.. Then I started to climb and she saw I was pooping and peeing alright and quickly moved me out to my very own habit.. At first it sat me back a bit because I was just getting to know them and feel better then she kicked me out.. WTHECK??? I went back to not climbing again so she sat me up dog beds and such on the floor.. I would sit and watch television with my little legs stretched over the side.. It felt WONDERFUL because I never had things to sit on and stretch like this before.. within a few days to a week I started climbing again.. #TheHuman hangs things.. SOFT THINGS that I can lay on and sleep in up there!! I LOVE it!! I never had things like that before and to be perfectly honest I REALLY DO LIKE IT!! So eventually I worked my way up to the soft hanging items that were up there waiting for me up high like that inside cage had BUT HIGHER!! WHOA I MUST ADMIT THAT WAS SCARY FOR ME AT FIRST!! That was the highest I had been in MANY MANY MANY YEARS!!! Since I was a young monk and escaped from my Daddy and ended up HIGH in a tree in the front yard.. My Daddy was scared to death and I was never allowed outside to play again because he didn’t want me to get lost a or hurt so he got me a cage for my protection.. He called it my #BigCage but I don’t think he realized how much I grew up over the years or how much I would have enjoyed something to sit on or play with over time.. Most people don’t realize us #MonkKidz spend up to 7 hours per day eating!!! That of course should not be sitting in a small area eating from a dish!! We are HUNTERS!!! We need to be walking around looking for things to catch, bust open, fish for, etc in order to be mentally,
physically, and emotionally enriched and healthy.. Don’t get me wrong!!! We do enjoy and appreciate the bowls of food provided for us BUT that should only be for if we didn’t get enough throughout the hunt.. I didn’t even realize that I needed to “HUNT” until I moved in here!! After I started climbing around in my new big pen my new Human kept trying to coax me to come though a small wooden doorway that lead to another door that opened up to the outside!! She tried so hard to coax me out that she got stuck in the door that lead outside and ripped it off!! I admit I did like it better but still wasn’t going out there!!! I was placed in prison for at least 5 years last time I took off outside!!! Didn’t wanna do that again!! I spent weeks watching the other monkz run in and out trying to decide if I wanted to risk the prison sentence or not.. #TheHumanbean kept putting my bananas out by the missing door trying to get me to come out.. Was it a set up?? I thought long and hard taking it SUPER DUPER SLOW and finally worked my way outside.. Then I didn’t wanna go down to the ground anymore.. WHYYYY WOULD I??? 12 foot ceiling made me feel tall and safe!! I have #MovedIn now!! I am getting stronger and mouthier each day!! I eat like a bottomless pit!! I LOVE the verity of munchies that is available her at Misfitland Monkey Rescue!! Have I told you lately that I LOVE peppers??? Because #IDo

Reese Bullock is a 9 year old rhesus macaque monkey who moved in to Misfitland Monkey Rescue about 5 months ago.. He wasn’t used to going outside or playing in the sunshine.. He has changed his mind now and often spends a LOT of time out playing in the sun and even enjoys playing in the rain at times.. Here at Misfitland the monkeys have their own choice of being inside or outside 24/7.. They have their own personal doorways to pass in and out of offering them as much freedom as possible in captivity.. This took a long while for Reese to figure out but no worries he understands it now.. There has been several nights over this summer that Reese has decided to sleep outside on his swing.. This guy is LOADED with personality.. He is also the first monkey that in 26.5 years that I have had that likes bananas!!! I often bring him out 3 of them.. He will put one whole banana in each side of his pouches in his mouth then eat the other one.. HE IS HYSTERICAL!!! I have a TON of fun introducing him to new things and different taste.. He is a good boy and getting more and more used to the outside world along with the noises and sounds that originally scared him.. I have noticed recently that he don’t get nearly as enraged when I bang the pans together as he originally did.. There was a time that just the sound of picking up the food pans or tossing them to loudly down for the dogs to clean out would set Reese into a rage that would make him charge as though he was ready for a fight.. Noise is a way primates use to intimidate others so it stands to reason being the “NEW GUY” he was on edge with any and all new sounds.. He lived with a single man and a marmoset off by themselves so the noise level wasn’t NOTHING compared to living with 4 other monkeys, an extremely loud parrot, a couple cows, chickens, duck, cats, dogs, and a teenager.. The noise level around here can get MASSIVE!! On top of that I use stainless steel bowls to feed the monk kidz with so when I toss them together while picking up the pens.. It has taken a long while but I am picking up on the fact that he is understanding that I am just cleaning up and picking up and NOT IN ANYWAY trying to challenge him in any way.. I was scrubbing the inside pen when I noticed our newest troop member #ReesieCup FINALLY getting in to his swimming tub!! This was yet another exciting milestone in his life for us here at Misfitland Monkey Rescue!! He is our first Rhesus Macaque but we have over 26 years with Java Macaques and they absolutely LOVE water.. This makes Ronald Bullock and I think Reese will love it too.. He already LOVEZ sitting out in the rain under his shades.. it makes it feel like a mist to him I reckon..

I have been training him for a few weeks now and I think he is really starting to get the hang of how to play!! I usually allow him to serve but once in a while I will catch the ball myself and serve it to him on #MyTerms!! This isn’t the absolute BEST video of us playing due to the fact #SonyaRoberts had stopped by with some fresh veggies and fruit for us #MonkKidz and it was very distracting for me.. What can I say???? #ILikeToEat!!! &&& it’s hard to concentrate when you are being filmed!!! I mean SERIOUSLY I watch that FailArmy stuff on the box on the inside… I don’t wannabe the subject of #OOPS staring in their show!!! I am just learning this #BalanceThing!!
