How did Misfitland come to be???
Misfitland...today |
I, Teresa Bullock, grew up on a 248 acre farm 4 miles from where I live now... I have always had a special LOVE for animals and they have always been what makes me happy ;) Their unconditional LOVE makes everything in life worth living for me... Through all my troubled times in life I can honestly say that without them I don't know where I would be or if I would even be... Depression is something that I have fought my whole life and them needing me and knowing that without me they could face a very rough life if they had a life at all has made me have a purpose in life.... God has given each one of us a GIFT and I didn't believe that I had one for SOOOOO long but I now know and see what it is...
I was designed to Rescue Monkeys!!!!!!

Misfitland..... the future |
Nobody can predict the future (how fun would that be?), but we can have goals. Here at Misfitland, we have a really big goal - and we just know we will reach it. We WILL be a monkey sanctuary. We will work to ensure that no monkey is ever unwanted, unloved, or used as a lab animal again. Big Goal right? Hey...go big or go home! This doesn't mean that we will no longer have other animals, of course we will! We are Misfitland. Everyone & every thing belongs here - is loved here. That is what is so special about Misfitland. "Life is too short to fit in".
Already, together, we have accomplished so much. Angel is happier and healthier. Bills are paid with less stress and the animals are so happy. But there is so much more to do. Getting a sanctuary up and running does not only mean a lot of "red tape" but a lot of expenses too. We are working on project plans, to do lists, and more. When we have something we can share we will. It really is very interesting and we want you to be a part of our journey - we really are so thankful to each and everyone of our Misfitland fans, followers, etc. AND just think - one day, hopefully not that far off, Misfitland will be OPEN TO THE PUBLIC! Stay tuned.......
