I dumped her black tub of water over to clean out because it was full of toys and grass that Daisy has been washing and making grass soup in so o cold go clean it out… I think she had just as much fun in the dumped on the ground water as she had with the water when it was in the water tub.. LOL… Macaque monkey are known for their LOVE of water and Ms Daisy Mae certainly falls under that rule of thumb… She just LOVEZ to play and I just LOVE to watch her so it’s a WIN/WIN around here!!! See my face??? I am NOT happy!!!! See my #HappyBirthday was 2 days ago and on that day I was excited because my #pethuman had promised me for a WEEK that she would #campout on the #trampoline with me and we would celebrate my 14th #birthday together!!! Then my birthday rolled around.. She came out singing HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO MY #DAISYMAE and I got bunches of cuddles and such before she said she was sorry about the rain but we could camp out tomorrow night… I went ahead and accepted her words because I really didn’t want to sleep in the rain either… Then yesterday rolled around and she said the EXACT SAME THING!!!! 2 yes 2 nights in a ROW I have not gotten a camp out with celebration as promised and #GUESSWHAT????? It’s STILL RAINING so I am expecting to hear the exact same excuse about tonight!!!! Even if the rain quit right now I don’t think it would be dry enough to sleep on by evening… It would probably just start back up again anyway It always does!!! She says she wishing the pump in the well was working!! I bet we could have LOADS of water if it did!!! #AnyHoo I am OVER 14 years old today… 14 years and 2 days young #IAm!!! Ain’t I BEAUTIFUL???? #DaisyMae #PoolGirl #IAm!!! I worked SO HARD with the #PetHuman to clean my and #GypsySue’s pool yesterday and I would have gotten it done EXCEPT we found a SMALL hole under the leg of the ladder… She was going to patch it last night BUT when she dumped the shop vac each time it puddled under the pool and kept coming back through the hole making it impossible to get dry to apply the glue stuff!!! She said we will just have to keep Gypsy locked up to keep her from collapsing down the sides and do it first thing in the morning!!! HOWEVER first thing in the morning rolled around and it was POURING rain!!! The rain has let up now but the run off from the rain has to stop so it’s not soaked under the pool and coming up through the hole in the liner… We wasn’t going to dump the entire pool but decided to because it was seeming IMPOSSIBLE to get it totally clean to the point that the pool vacuum was going to be able to handle it… You would not believe how much STUFF was in that pool that the vacuum was missing!!!! Probably has something to do with the FACT #MyHuman did not put a load of sand under it so it’s not real smooth like it would be if professionals had done it!! No worries though!!! I scrubbed and scrubbed and the shop vac sucked and sucked until the water was clean and clear… Now if it would only DRY we can patch and fill!!! I can’t wait to be floating on my kayak #WorlkingOnMyTan listening to the birds with the sun in my face and the wind in my hair!!!! OOOOOHHHH HOW I LOVE TO FLOAT!!!! #LifeIsTooShortToFitIn #TheGoodStuff

The pampered Human I am!!!! If you asked me if I was spoiled I would have to say ABSOLUTELY ROTTEN!!!!! You will never be able to imagine how much the sweet caring touch of these monk kidz of mine do for my inner soul!!!! On this day I was feeling AWFUL!!!! Just standing was exhausting and I was out trying to sweep up the monkey barn… Finally I thought I have to sit down for a few SOOOOOOOOO unlike most people who would have headed inside to find a resting place to recover I headed out the door that takes me to the rhesus macaque outside play area… There I headed straight to the trampoline where the other greatest care givers in the world would have access to me to erase my ill feeling… IT WORKED!!!!! I mean seriously wouldn’t you have to admit that it would work on you as well?????? Look at her busy little hands tending to her pet human!!!! WHAT AN HONOR IT IS TO BE ME!!!!! She owns me!!! #DaisyMae the #Supervisor #IAm!!! I absolutely LOVE cage scrubbin dayz!!! I always run out and sit on the hose reel where I can have an outstanding view of what she is doin vs what she should be doin.. This time she hung a hammock up for me to sit on.. She saysi that my BOUNCY MOTION is going to break her hose reel.. I think she is CRAZY!!! I think that is why they made it where it would bounce!!! They expected me to enjoy the way it gives with pressure from my bounce!! I would be willing to bet that she too would enjoy the experience if she would just climb up here with me and try it out for a moment but NOOOOOO it’s to expensive she says!!! She is getting boring in her old age.. I just don’t understand why nobody wants to be adventurous anymore… UGH #Humans!!! I don’t really care if it’s considered “SOCIALLY ACCEPTABLE”!! It was never about “THEM” anyway!!! It’s about me enjoying my life and I wanna bounce!! That’s exactly what I’m going to do!! Right after I sit here on my hammock for a bit.. #DaisyMae #MomsHelper #IAm today!!! She keeps speaking about how cold it is about to be outside soon.. I am 12 years old and never had to be concerned about weather change because I have never had the ability to go outside any time I want to UNTIL NOW!!! I do enjoy the freedom of it but I am not at all looking forward to whatever it is she is talking about.. Cold, rain, sleet, ice, snow these things don’t sound fun at all!!!! Why not just tell whoever this “WINTER” is to stay away and that we don’t want the things that they are bringing??? THERE SOLVED THAT ISSUE!!! Now back to cleaning!! I will be honest I did try to escape through the front door upon start of the job.. I didn’t actually realize that she purposely left my door open and had put the deadbolt and other lock on at first!!! I kinda thought that I had escaped and was going to go explore the farm but unfortunately she was on top of it and I couldn’t open the door so I decided to help her instead.. First we picked up the throwaway stuff.. You know the toys that have fought their final fight, all bodies are disassembled down to the final bits, and the yogurt containers that again are disassembled into the SMALLEST of pieces We do this so that the remaining food pieces that are left can be swept up and thrown across the fence to the pig and chickens to be finished off.. Then we got the water hose out and washed from top to bottom walls, windows, toy boxes, and the hanging things that are not machine washable all the way down to the floor then we even washed it!!! Then she went and got the detergent and started to scrub… I found me a comfortable spot on top of the hose reel where I could supervise her.. I liked the hose reel because it kinda has a bounce to it when I jump up and down on it.. She kept saying “Now don’t you rip the hose off the wall” as I was bouncing around.. Several times I looked at her and done it again just trying to show her that it wasn’t going anywhere but she kept repeating it.. She appears to be SLOW but trainable so I keep trying to teach her.. Training Humans is something that I am pretty good with ya know?? Anyhoo together we got it done!! #TeamWorkMakesTheDreamWork and she always says Dreams don’t work unless you do!!! Together we got this!! #LifeIsTooShortToFitIn

I was out feeding and when I looked over and saw her mustache I HAD TO SHARE IT WITH YOU!!! OMGOSH ISNT SHE PERFECT?????? She is a great eater… It really surprises me how much grass she eats but it makes me happy that she likes it!!! She isn’t hunting bugs as much as she will over time but I did see her grab a few here and there so she is on her way to the natural diet yet still appreciates the human stuff… ESPECIALLY YOGURT!!! We all know monkeys don’t respond to discipline well at all so when Gypsy Sue came walking up close and she started to tell her to back up!!!!!! I quickly interrupted her and to my disbelief she quickly laid back down and totally submitted to the situation allowing the 3 of us to lay and cuddle peacefully together..WOW THANK YA JESUS FOR THE LOVE AND PROTECTION!!!! ITS OFFICIAL!!! RHESUS MACAQUE DAISY MAE HAS ACCEPTED ME INTO HER TROOP!!! Misfitland Monkey Rescue is located in Moscow Ohio so it was quite a long haul to the middle of Arkansas to pick up this beautiful princess.. She was in a large dog kennel inside a house with a lot of love but her Human had gotten ill over the past 12 years and the last few years Daisy Mae wasn’t handled at all due to her size and her owners inability to hold/control her with all things considered.. Her owner is a follower of Misfitland and she longed to see Daisy Mae getting to have the freedom that she deserved like she used to when she was younger and the owner was healthier so she contacted me to see if there was any possibility that she could come here to stay… It’s odd but somehow I was already in love with her before I even pulled out of the driveway to go get her… I believe each and every monkey that ends up here at Misfitland is hand picked by Angel Bullock straight from Heaven!! I mean LOOK AT THIS GIRL!!!! No way could she have found me on her own from so far away!! She was truly Heaven Sent and I Thank God for her!!! She ALREADY owns me.. Life is too short to fit in!!

Daisy Mae is new to our troop so the fact that she wants to climb into my arms and hug me TOTALLY MELTS MY HEART!!!! Daisy comes all the way from Arkansas and was quite a trip to go get.. Daisy has not been handled a lot in many years so she had to be trapped in a squeeze cage for me to take her to the vet and then here.. She was doing excellent up until I had to use the grinder to cut the lock off of her cage because it was buggered shut and would not open… That scared her to death and concerned me that it would make her fearful of me in the future.. NO WORRIES THOUGH!!!! She seems to know and understand that I did what I did to help her, and shows me her appreciation with her adorable hugs… She even gives me a hug each time I deliver her food dish to her.. I FIND IT RATHER SCARY BECAUSE FOOD AGGRESSION IS A REAL THING WITH MONKEYS AND I DONT WANNA BE TOTALLY STUPID ABOUT IT BUT OMGOSH I CAN NOT SAY NO TO HER HUGG EITHER so I am extremely careful about releasing the dish and stepping back from it for the HUGG… I’m going to be honest with ya!! The Daisy Mae Thank You HUGG is becoming my favorite part of feeding… GOSH I LOVE HER!!!

#DaisyMae the #BRILLIANT #IAm!!! I don’t like hanging out inside the barn!!! I mean I do travel in there to investigate now and then but it’s just not my thing ya know?? It really seems to concern #MyHuman because she worries about me CONSTANTLY… What can I say other than #SheLovesMe a whole LOT… First she worked hard to get me a clubhouse way up high where I like to hang out to keep me from the sunshine and rain because I will sit out in it all and for some reason that concerns her… She just doesn’t understand how long I waited to get back to the outdoors.. My Humommy was sick for a long minute before I made it to here!!! I was stuck in jail that entire time after being used to running around and playing loose with her constantly!! That was rough times for both the Humommy and me!! I often wonder what she is doing now and if she is looking up at the same beautiful sky that I am?? ANYHOOOOO my #OtherMother is extremely concerned about my water intake and if I am getting enough of it because I don’t travel inside very often SOOOOOOOO LOOOOOOOK WHAT I GOT!!!!!!!! It’s a drinking fountain OUTSIDE that I can get to constantly with out going through the tunnel to the inside… WHOOOHOOO.. About 10 minutes into this video I REALLY start to understand exactly what I now have and #OMGOSH #SCORE!!!!! #WhereHaveYouBeen #LifeIsTooShortToFitIn

I spend my days trying to make sure that the rescued monkeys at Misfitland Monkeys Rescue are safe happy and filled with enrichment.. Daisy Mae is a 12 year old Rhesus Macaque old world monkey.. She came from Arkansas where her human had become to ill to interact with her like she deserves so she sent her here longing for her to have the Human interaction that she craves along with the freedom that she deserves… Daisy Mae absolutely LOVEZ being outside and don’t seem to want to be inside to much and that has had me concerned about her getting enough water to drink in the heat of summer SOOOOOO I have now set her up her own drinking fountain.. I THINK SHE LIKES IT!!!! About 10 minutes in to the video she REALLY gets it figured out and starts to enjoy it a LOT!!! I have a feeling that the well is going to be dry a lot now lol… ISNT SHE PERFECT????? She owns me!! Life is too short to fit in!!!

I am feeling rather STUPID!!!! Now that #DaisyMae is out of her squeeze cage I can see her belly much more clearly!!! Daisy is 12 years old so she is the oldest #RhesusMacaque that I have ever had the pleasure of being around… LOOK AT HER BELLY BULDGES!!!! They look a whole lot like the ones on Reese’s belly!!! Wonder what took #ReesieCup so long to bulge????? Can’t believe I rushed him to the vet thinking he had a hernia that was getting bigger and bigger and bigger!!! When Doc had him on the table he had them come out and get me.. He asked Where are you saying that this hernia is at?? He said I have been feeling all over and I MIGHT feel a small hole but I am not sure and just don’t want to slice him open without a reason… I was like OOOOO NOOOOO DOC!!!! I AM ASKING YOU IF IT IS???? IF YOU DONT THINK SO PLEASE DONT OPEN HIM UP!!!! So he was just given up to date shots and sent back home.. NOW I SEE WHY DOC WAS ASKING ME!!!! I reckon it is normal for adult rhesus to have a belly like that… OOOOOOOOOOPS #WhoKnew

#DaisyMae is Home to stay!!! WHAT A LONNNNNG DAY THAT WAS!!!!! Can’t complain about anything though!!! The drive was nice.. No rain and only 2 slowdowns but nothing that lasted to long.. When I got there and was building a way to tunnel her into the squeeze cage it appeared that she was going to be extremely cooperative!! She was behaving very well allowing me to mess around her cage without being real threatening or anything.. Got everything ready to open it up and let her in AND THEN THE FREAKING LOCK WOULD NOT UNLOCK!!!! It would turn but not unlock!!! UGH!!!!!!!!! So I went out and got my grinder and removed the lock… OOOOOOOOO BOYYYYYY SHE DID NOT LIKE THAT!!!!!!! Chapped her little monkey butt and NOW we have a problem!!! She wanted NOTHING to do with going in there now!!! OMGOSH SHE WAS TERRIFIED BY WHAT I DONE WITH THAT LOUD TOOL AND THOSE SPARKS FLYING FROM IT!!! We offered her EVERYTHING trying to get her to go in but she isn’t nobody fool!! She was VERY AWARE that we were up to something and she didn’t want any part of it WHATSOEVER!!! Finally Mommy went in and thankfully she was able to pull the door shut after Daisy walked in to the cage.. I could tell she felt guilty for doing it but I believe she realizes it’s what’s best for Daisy and that’s what matters most.. I seen some of the results of the party Daisy Mae had after escaping while Mommy was in the hospital!!! They USED to have a #DropCeiling and that is exactly what it did when Daisy played with it!! IT DROPPED!!!!!!!! There isn’t 1 ceiling tile still hanging… What a wild party that must have been!!! I am going to try to clean her up before she goes into a large pen… She had a swing inside her cage and she LOVED IT!!! I can not wait to see her and #GypsySue bounce from swing to swing together!!!! THIS is #TheGoodStuff in life

She loves tangled and for some reason the old show Good eats with Alton Brown) belly rubs and grooming. She has been with her Human since she was a week old and she is very loved.. Unfortunately her Human has fallen on some hard times when it comes to health… Last time she was hospitalized Daisy Mae got loose from the caregivers and had free run of the house for 5DAYS!!!! Imagine how that monkey party went!!!!! I promise you that unless you have ever come home to broken glass, flower EVERYWHERE, melted ice cream, spilled milk, spilled cooking oil, broken eggs, and EVERYTHING ELSE BUSTED and down on the floor you have never experienced a TRUE MESS!!!! That is not the only reason why she is making the hard decision to place her with us.. She used to get Daisy out to play with her often but with her health heading downhill she fears Daisy isn’t getting the attention that she deserves!! SOOOOOOOOOOO THIS YEAR DAISY WILL THINK THAT THE ENTIRE HOMECOMING PARTY IS FOR HER!!! We won’t tell her that we were already in the midst of having it before we knew about her!!! That way she will feel SPECIAL just like we want her too!!! I will have to take caging with me to trap her in and get her to a vet for a health check before she can come in the state of Ohio so I have to bring plenty of material to make that happen.. SO THANKFUL DAD SAID I CAN KEEP THE TRAILER FOR STUFF LIKE THIS!!! I am going to try and load it up with the needed accessories that I can keep in there and ready for these moments!!! I have also added a couple lights inside AND A SOLAR FAN to keep the air moving around!! Keep your fingers crossed that she loads easily and is excited to get to be with #ReesieCup and #GypsySue whom she should be able to communicate with very well… I hear she LOVEZ water too!!! Can’t wait to see them swimming together
