Louie Ray is a 20 year old white face capuchin monkey and Gunner Boeh is a 6 year old black cap capuchin monkey.. Louie Ray came here a little over 3 years ago when he outgrew his humom's strength at age 17.. Once he figured out he was strong enough to over power her he refused to do anything he didn't wanna do and was physically refusing to the point she could not handle him any longer.. Gunner Boeh came here about 10 months ago.. He is staying here till his Humans are able to take care of him again.. His daddy is recovering from throat cancer and his mommy caught the covid and has now had a stroke.. She has a long road of recovery ahead of her so Gunner is hanging out here with us until his parents get better.. TODAY WAS A BREAKTHROUGH WITH GUNNER AND LOUIE!! NOTICE GUNNER GROOMING LOUIE &&& LOUIE IS OKAY WITH IT!!! WOW THIS IS HUGE AND MAKES ME SOOOOOOOOOO HAPPY!!! They need to be friends!! They can both benefit from the company.. Me I get to benefit from the both of them.. See this place is supposed to be a monkey rescue but the truth is these monkeys that I am supposed to rescue REALLY rescue me.. I live for these moments right here!! My heart is overwhelmed with joy.. They own me.. Life is too short to fit in!!

On the way to Gunner Boeh's
On this day I was taken #GunnerBoeh over to see his Mommy and Daddy.. I had some medicine I needed to stop and pick up at Walmart so I used the curb side delivery option and let them bring it out to me.. #LouieRay ride shot gun and #Gunner rode behind me.. I LOVE watching them in the mirrors.. Look at Gunner trying to open the door!! They are SO SMART!! Best of all listen to when we start backing into Gunners house!! He KNOWS where he is.. I got really mad at myself for forgetting to record him after I put the fresh diaper on and turned him loose to get to his Mommy!! He SCREAMS and goes crazy when he gets ahold of her and his Daddy... PRAY FOR GUNNERS MOMMY!!! SHE HAD A STROKE AND IS IN THE HOSPITAL NOW.. She has numbness on her left side and going to have to do physical therapy to try and get the feeling/control back..

#LouieRay says #GunnerBoeh is a #PhoneHog!! Look at him just waiting for #Gunner to let his guard down for a second so he can snatch it away.. I can see what's going through that ornery little head of his.. Gunner is paying no attention to Louie Ray because he is busy trying to make a call to his Humans Daniel Boeh and Barbara Boeh .. He has a LOT to tell them about what's been going on around here but can't seem to break the code to dial.. It's not from lack of trying though.. #TheyOwnMe

#GunnerBoeh the spoiled I am!! I miss my REAL Mommy and Daddy SOOOOOOOOOOO MUCH and they miss me too!! They are always bringing me surprises and treats.. Today they sent me 8,000 crickets!! YEP 8,000 just for me!! OK OKAY I am supposed to share them with #LouieRay.. I don't really mind sharing them with him because he always leaves me some from the night before and don't even get a bowl of them for breakfast.. I on the other hand eat a few bowl fulls a day!! Well the bowl isn't totally full but by golly the bottom is double to triple layered with the tasty critters each time I get it!! You should see me get my cricket bowl and hand it to #TheHuman.. I have her trained well too!! When I hand the bowl she retrieves the crickets with a quickness.. Watch me in this video stand on the side of the blue crate doing my best magic trick ever!! I call it THE DISAPPEARING CRICKET SHOW!! First you see them and then you don't!! They talk about the #cricketchallenge like ANYBODY out there could possibly beat me.. NO ONE has a chance against me!! Not even on their best day!! THANK YOU DADDY AND MOMMY BOEH FOR MY MUNCHIES!! I WILL ENJOY EACH BITE and maybe even share one or two with the others.. #MonkeyMunchies

Gunner Boeh is a capuchin monkey that came to visit Misfitland Monkey Rescue in October 2020.. His humans have been very sick between cancer, covid and heart issues but working hard each day to get strong enough to bring Gunner back home.. They miss him terribly and often bring, send, or give him surprises. He likes all sorts of things but his ABSOLUTE favorite munchie is crickets!! He LOVEZ them!! His Humommy Barbara Boeh sent 8,000 of them for him to have as many as he wants and so he has enough to share with the other monks. The others, especially Louie Ray likes crickets but no one can hold a candle to the LOVE of crickets Gunner has!! Just watch him munch!! He is in cricket heaven!! He says THANKZ MOM nom nom nom nom.. He owns me.. Life is too short to fit in!! .

#LouieRay got a new slinky and he LOVEZ it!! Watch him enjoy it in a possessive way.. He is so funny!! Then he cracks up LAUGHING as Sonya tickles him down her leg.. I LOVE IT WHEN HE LAUGHS OUT LOUD!! He don't like sharing HIS Sonya with #GunnerBoeh but is learning sometimes he has to!! He is such a good boy SOMETIMES  #ILoveHim

#LouieRay the jealous I am!! I try to control my emotions.. I mean I am a man with a hard core reputation to live up to you know!! I have been known to be the toughest one in the house even overpowering the lady who raised me!! That's how I ended up here at #Misfitland.. I was physically kicking butt EVERY night just because I can/could.. Since moving here my ego has been busted a bit because my new #Humom is stronger and raised tougher.. She is able to pin me down and get me into a cage when I have a fit.. I don't appreciate it and for the most part try not to throw fits anymore.. Today I am showing GREAT self control!! LOOK AT THAT #GUNNERBOEH ALL UP IN #MYHUMAN's FACE!! THAT'S MY SPACE AND HE KNOWS IT!! At first he was over on the counter eating the end she cut off of her chimichanga for him.. #TheHuman and I was at the table.. I had only taken a bite or two off my chimichanga end peace and laid it back on to the table.. I was just gonna save it till later.. Suddenly #Gunner jumps over on to the table and snatches my piece.. You know what I didn't even care.. That was until he came over and put his hand on MY human while eating it!! I turned around and looked at him like WTH DUDE?? I JUST GAVE YOU FOOD!! He didn't stop there!! He offered me a bite of the chimichanga he had that was already mine and I didn't want to begin with given her the impression he was being so sweet.. THEN he squeezed closer to her as she kissed all over his face!! Made me wanna barf!! I rolled my eyes and hugged up closer to MY human.. She might be fooled by his charm and he might think he is special because of all the huggs and kisses she gives him but I have news for him.. I WAS HER FIRST CAPUCHIN AND I WILL ALWAYS BE HER SPECIAL LITTLE MAN WHO CAN MAKE HER MELT!! NOBODY WILL EVER TAKE MY PLACE!! THIS IS WHAT I KNOW AS A FACT!! She told me herself.. #MoveOver #MonkeyBoy #ShesMine

Crunching Munching Capuchin Monkey
#GunnerBoeh is in PARADISE!! Someone sent a thousand crickets from Buy Feeder Crickets.com!!! OMG he is a HAPPY CAMPER!! They will ALL enjoy them especially #LouieRay and #Gunner!! They seem to eat the most of them!! Gunner has been spending time in Louie's pen hunting wild bugs.. He only seems to be hunting the ones up high so far.. Before long he will figure out the ground is loaded with stuff to eat.. One thing is for sure!! He IS a cricket eater and that's a great thing because they are very healthy for him!! THANK YOU SO VERY MUCH TO WHOEVER SENT THEM!! THEY ARE A PERFECT SNACK!!

Monk Brothers Get A Gift To Share
#LouieRay and #GunnerBoeh was most delighted to have dinner delivered to them in a box labeled Misfitland Primate Foreverland.. I have messed up twice recently on who sent what so I am not even gonna guess who sent them SO PLEASE OWN UP This is PERFECT!! These guys are burning through crickets at a MASSIVE rate of speed!! I mean a thousand crickets every few day.. They went the most of the winter without because they kept showing up dead so I quit ordering until it got warmer and THEY HAVE MISSED THEM!! It's like they can't get full.. It's a great healthy natural snack for them.. THANK YOU SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO MUCH FOR SENDING THEM WHOEVER YOU ARE!!! THEY ARE GOING TO GOOD USE ALREADY

Capuchin Monkeys Louie Ray and Gunner Boeh are more than happy to have their dinner bowls filled with crickets!! Sometimes they are double fisting them into their little mouths.. They can't get enough!! They totally munch out enjoying their crunch.. in some parts of the world crickets are considered a delicacy.. I think I will just let the monkeys have them.. Sure not my thing!! They own me.. Life is too short to fit in!!

Listen to the lip smacking going on between Louie Ray and Gunner Boeh!! They are enjoying some snap peas that's easy to hear!! If it was a human doing this I would have to leave the room!! I can't stand the sound of people chewing with their mouth open!! It disgust me honestly and makes me wanna snap!! HOWEVER when monkeys do it I just smile and think GOSH YOUR SO DANG CUTE!! Watch that sneaky Gunner go after the unsweetened tea!! Notice he scores some of that too!! They are a bit spoiled!! I Love Them!! Life is too short to fit in!!

Louie and Gunner Friends??
How is #LouieRay and #GunnerBoeh getting along?? #Babysteps!! THIS is the first time they were this close with out one of them being puffed up!! I wish they would just suck it up and become friends!! I do think they are getting closer to a friend relationship each day!! It's only been 4 months now geezzzzz!! I must admit Louie Ray started the whole ATTITUDE thing.. #Gunner is still growing hair back that Louie did a sneak attack and took out with a quickness when he trusted him.. Now I have to stay on Gunner not to push it with Louie Ray.. Gunner is on the defensive but I truly believe wants to be Louie's friend.. He looks up to him I can tell.. He watches everything he does.. Not real sure that's all good They both LOVE Sonya and want her affection enough to tolerate each other in this video.. To bad she isn't here to keep the peace all the time.. Although I must admit they have both been hanging out in my bedroom without conflict or being puffed up but they haven't been as close as they are here

#LouieRay threw a fit!! He and #GunnerBoeh are in competition for affection!! I tried to make sure everything is done equally and that they get equal toys/stuffies and equal treats.. If anything Louie Ray gets a bit of favoritism.. Yesterday #Gunner went with me when I left because he was going to visit his #1 Mommy and his Daddy.. I did tell Louie Ray what we was doing and that Gunner was NOT going shopping with me and he wasn't missing anything.. I made sure the latches was on the cabinets and spring lock was on the bathroom door and left Louie lay on my bed while I run over there real quick.. Louie does GREAT being strapped to my bed.. WELLLLLL he always has till now.. I guess it really made him mad that Gunner got into the car with me.. He not only took down every he could reach and threw it to the floor but he also broke the latch on the bathroom door and was able to reach the long shower sprayer after turning it on.. I had to grab the carpet shampooer and start sucking up water the second I walked in!! GALLONS AND GALLONS of water!! It was in sane!! Today the bathroom floor is weaving from so much water.. I hope that gets better as it dries out.. Louie Ray has blown it!! He has lost a lot of privileges due to his recent attitude change!! I did promise him that next time I take Gunner to visit his Mommy and Daddy that he could go too!! The problem with that is I usually do grocery shopping while he visits!! Guess we will have to find something else to go do for a little bit just to make him happy and let him know he's really not missing anything.. Honestly I would have liked to have had a camera on him!! He sure has a way of letting his feelings be known #PunkMonkey

As I was getting something out of the refrigerator he ran up and smacked it to let me know he needed some!! This is there good boy treat!! They get it for being good and it works!! #GunnerBoeh decided I needed to play 52 pickup and scattered the cards accordingly.. #LouieRay picked a hand of 3 cards that he felt lucky with and he shuffled them and tossed them playing his own game.. #Gunner sat up on the bed and watched him.. They are both loose and are working on getting closer all the time.. Notice when Louie jumps to the headboard Gunner takes off out the door BUT HE SNEAKS BACK if you watch.. The fact they are getting this close to each other without being PUFFED UP is BIG and makes my heart VERY HAPPY!! Hopefully before to long they will be best of friends or at least cordial to each other

I think #LouieRay and #GunnerBoeh are starting to get along/like each other.. THIS MAKES ME SO HAPPY!! Don't get me wrong the drama isn't totally over!! When I take Gun out to play Louie still slams his food dish to show his strength and ability to make noise and he still shoves some items through the cage at Gun a little hard BUT I think what started as aggressive gestures has mellowed to a playful will this fit though the fence do you want to try it game.. Today I noticed Gunner given his blanket over to Louie and Louie wasn't being a redneck about it!! THAT'S PROGRESS!! Gunner will take Louie's dirty shirts and sniff rub and carry them around the room.. It's odd and has to do with this anarchy thing they got going on but I'm not exactly sure what it means.. Whatever it is I am just glad the Louietude is reducing!! it was causing Gunnertude and I don't want that out of either of them
