#AbbyLouise grooming her #RalphieD!! They are becoming great friends/family!! It feels SO GOOD to see #Abby getting to groom another Macaque!! I bet it reminds her of grooming her 2 missing Macaque brothers that she was separated from a couple years ago.. Macaque's are INCREDIBLE groomers!! It is a way of communicating showing love and submission to each other.. IT IS VERY IMPORTANT FOR THEM TO BE ABLE TO EXPRESS THESE EMOTIONS TO EACH OTHER.. It's part of who they are as far as being a troop member.. NOT JUST ANYONE GETS TO GROOM THEM!! You must be a trusted troop member to receive such a privilege.. I have not only seen Abby groom Ralphie but I also saw Ralphie returning the favor to Abby.. THEY HAVE BONDED TOGETHER AND THAT MY FRIEND IS A BEAUTIFUL THING!!

The #MonkKidz had a special treatment today.. this Dr performed rekey on them!! Each one got personal treatment for various reasons.. #AbbyLouise got the biggest going over!! She addressed a lot of issues with her from anxiety and security to the pain and discomfort of the arthritis in her lower back and tail!! Abby seemed to respond well to her and was extremely well behaved.. #RalphieD got some help with his acid reflux and paranoia.. He ALWAYS thinks someone is after him making him extremely tense all the time.. He is a very submissive monkey making him easy to handle but it also makes him a very nervous boy.. #PennyRose you will notice has no photos of her treatment.. This is because the thing she needs help with most is HYPERACTIVITY!! She goes 1,000 mph from daylight to dark!! She really has no OFF button.. The good news is she is very happy and very healthy... #BugsBullock had his liver and kidneys cleansed and his thyroid tended to as well.. She said the thyroid and liver problem often walk hand and hand.. #GunnerBoeh had his separation anxiety worked on.. He done great and kept offering her his belly to be rubbed.. Even #Eli got a good going over.. Now we wait to see the results of her work.. I pray they all do well..

This is Teresa.. I feel like I owe EVERYONE here an apology!! SInce Dad got charged by the bull on August 18, 2021 life has went insanely out of control!! While I was still running downtown Cincinnati daily not knowing exactly WHAT was going to be a LONG TERM effect of Dad's MASSIVE INJURIES on him and Mom for that matter I was in a scared and prayerful mind set already unable to sleep well and started missing calls and such.. THEN while trying to catch up the grass at all three places Dad's, the church and mine I went to hand out a snack to the #MonkKidz before leaving.. Suddenly they had a fight Louie busted the door open and took off.. I/we yelled and yelled looked and looked and within a hour and a half of making them a snack my #LouieRay passed away.. HE WAS THE PICTURE OF HEALTH.. We were going to grow old together.. He was only 20 so he should have had another 25+years This was beyond devastating to me!! He was my best friend!! He went EVERYWHERE with me.. You can't even begin to imagine what it is like with out his little sassy butt around here.. I look for him when I walk in to rooms.. I find myself talkin/yelling for him, I want to buy him stuff when I see what he likes.. I miss his TIGHT HUGGS and wet kisses.. Our wrestling matches and grooming sessions.. My lap is so empty when I am at the desk and I can't seem to let the other monkeys drink from his bottles.. The list of hangups/sadness goes on and on.. Then my first boyfriend that I remained close to and always loved throughout our adult life's passed away of covid pneumonia.. It's SO HARD to believe he is really gone.. Within a couple of days of Rob's funeral I found out Ms Diane passed away.. She was a WONDERFUL GOD FEARING EXTREMELY INDEPENDENT HEROIC WOMAN that I love very much.. Seems lately the only socializing I have done is at hospitals and funerals.. I have fought Depression, Anxiety, Panic Attacks, and emotional crap my whole life.. I am still seeing a doctor that I had to start seeing after the near nervous breakdown that happened to me after my #AngelBullock passed away.. Since seeing this Dr I have found out that along with the c-PTSD I also have ADHD and that has helped me to understand a LOT about myself and my life.. I felt like with her help I was thinking better/clearer and getting more capable of FINISHING what I start.. I was very pleased with the way my mind was getting sorted out and things was making way more sense to me.. I still have a long way to go but certainly felt I was on the right track.. HOW DO I FEEL NOW THOUGH?? NOW I feel I need LOTZ of prayers.. I break down outta nowhere. Often/mostly when it's quite and I am alone.. I feel like I have to help others even though lately I seem to always feel worse after I do.. TOTALLY BACKWARDS OF THE GREAT FEELING YOUR SUPPOSED TO GET FROM HELPING OTHERS.. I am shaky and ready to explode at any moment.. The only real medicine that helps is holding or getting groomed by a monkey or even being in the barnyard.. Seems to be the only thing in life that makes sense to me anymore!! OHHHHH HOW I THANK GOD FOR THE FEEL OF #MONKEYHANDS and playful grateful animals!! Other than the TRUE MONKEY LOVIN internet FAMILY I have AND YES I AM TALKIN ABOUT YOU there isn't much support/encouragement that comes my way locally.. I have learned to handle/deal with things on my own and that's great I believe.. Usually I just stay busy enough I don't have time to think or deal with the drama going on in the world around me or should be saddening me.. However I am staying busy BELIEVE ME I HAVE SOOOOOOOOOOO MUCH TO DO but my OVERACTIVE THOUGHTS just keep taken over and I am hitting a low.. I AM SO SORRY THIS IS EFFECTING YOU AND YOUR INFORMATION ABOUT THE MONKEYS YOU TOO HELP TO RESCUE!! YOU DESERVE BETTER!! I have asked Brittany to start helping snap some pics of things and help me keep you informed and she has agreed to do so.. Things should get better from here on out as far as that goes we.. I have videos to upload of gifts that has been sent and prizes I haven't even mailed out from the last raffle.. I AM SO SORRY AND I PROMISE I AM GOING TO MAKE THAT HAPPEN but right now I must head back out to the barn and finish scrubbin.. I have been hanging outside lights and I am EXTREMELY EXCITED to have them.. It gets dark SO EARLY now and you can't see anything.. The coyotes are scaring the crap out of me!! They are SO CLOSE and not scared of ANYTHING anymore!! These lights are motion detected and ran by solar.. I am getting 2 per package making them $20 each.. It's 2 for $40 in a box from AMAZON and I ordered 5 boxes thinking 10 of them would be enough BUT last night behind the house was HORRIFYING!!! I was out there and I could hear a massive massive pack of coyotes and they was chasing something then you heard the screaming of whatever it was.. I was yelling and blowing my horn but nothing seemed to stop the madness.. I am thinking about getting some and hanging them out along the woods tree lines.. Something that would trigger the others animals to BE AWARE when it's triggered.. I know it probably won't work to well in the summer but right now all the leaves are gone and the sunlight would be able to get to them well.. The poor wild animals are sitting ducks out there with no covering on the full moon nights.. I also went and got quail hens to give the monkeys fresh quail eggs.. There is no way we can afford to buy them for them but I hear they are MUCH HEALTHIER for them to eat.. By doing so it was also saving their life.. They was going to be used to train dogs with.. That's how we ended up with so many.. I only wanted 5 to 10 of them till I found out what was going to happen to the others but oh well more is better right?? I try to spend as MUCH TIME with #BugsBullock as possible.. He is back to eating well again and seems to be pooping great again and for that I am VERY THANKFUL but I also realize every few months this keeps happening and it SCARES me that one of these times the miracle drugs isn't going to work.. God knows I LOVE that guy.. He has been so good this past year and I have been grateful for every moment we have!! I remember last year being so scared that he wasn't even going to make it to Christmas and then I will so scared he wasn't even going to make it to his 21st birthday on January 5 but praise God not only has he made it but he has also been able to have a life he hasn't gotten to have in probably 12 to 15 years.. He knows why he went to prison and seems to be reformed from his ways!! There has been a couple times this year that I have had to remind him that I would put him back in the barn when he gets bossy with me but each time he has quickly changed his attitude knowing what I am saying AND THAT I MEAN WHAT I SAY.. I have had #Bugs and #GunnerBoeh out together a few times but don't leave them in the room together alone.. Bug's knows he's old and just don't want to fight any more so he isn't a concern.. #Gunner is the one that I watch.. He gets jealous of Bugs and that makes me watchful even though there has been no real problem.. #RaymondArnold is cuter than ever BUT EATING ALL THE PIGS FOOD.. It appears I need to move him for a bit till he gets big enough I can make something that the pigs can get to that he can't to.. OMGOSH HE IS SO STINKING ROTTEN!! I love him so much.. He is stubborn as a mule though!! He refuses to walk on a lead UNLESS YOU HAVE A BOWL OF FEED IN FRONT OF HIM!! Then he will follow you to the moon and back.. I was going out to scrub monkey funk yesterday and put my rubber boots on.. I thought I got bit or stung by something when I stuck my foot in the boot.. I yanked it off quick as possible shaking whatever it was out!! You can't imagine how HAPPY I was when the inners of Brittany's key fob fell out!! Gunner took it apart the other day and we couldn't find it ANYWHERE!! We looked everywhere and even looked in the pair of boots he had drug to the ground but didn't look in the rest of them that hadn't been moved from the rack.. I have felt SO BAD about her fob and just couldn't imagine WHERE he could have put it.. Brittany's Mom was so sweet when Britt told her.. She said THAT'S OK HE CAN TEAR UP MY KEYS ANYTIME.. You just got to LOVE kind hearted people!! So glad to be able to give it back to her and it's not even chew up!! Shewwww things are really testing my sanity right now!! UGH!!! Welp no time to waist.. Trying to get ready for winter and daylight is hard to come by.. THANK YOU FOR UNDERSTANDING!! I AM CONSTANTLY THINKING I NEED TO TELL THE FOLLOWERS THIS THAT OR THE OTHER TRUST ME.. I just got to find a way to do it without having to stop everything to do it LMAO.. #ILoveYouAll #HappySunday

Debbie Scott sent a box labeled to #MisfitlandMonkeyRescue but after #GunnerBoeh opened it up #TheHuman found a note saying #BugsBullock gets first choice of whatever be wants first so she took it away from him and saved it for #Bugs.. When Bugs opened it he ate EVERY BIT of the munchies that was in there!! When I say EVERY BIT I mean EVERYYYYY BIT!! We didn't even know they had sour cream and onion crickets!! This poor chicken is the only one left after something, coon coyote or something, attacked and killed the rest of them.. They wanted to re-home her before she too got killed so I brought her here to hang out with mine. She is going to fit right in with the others.. The pig in the background was what was so funny!! LISTEN TO HIM SNORE!! WATCH HIS LITTLE NOSE WHEN HE SNORES!! CUTENESS OVERLOAD!! Life is too short to fit in!!

The CUTEST thing just happened!! Made my heart SO HAPPY!! #GunnerBoeh and I was dumping scrapes out to the pigs and chickens when #Gunner suddenly jumped off my shoulders and onto the monkey pen where #RalphieD was.. Ralphie quickly climbed to him but wasn't mean. As a matter of fact he stuck his little arms and legs through the fence and HUGGED him tight!! Gunner didn't mind at all.. GOSH I WISH I HAD THE CAMERA READY WHEN THAT HAPPENED!! I REALLY hope they become close.. That would be great for the both of them

Here's a few videos of #GunnerBoeh's and my trip to Alabama to get #RaymondArnold and his arrival at #Misfitland.. #Raymond is cute, stubborn, adorable, and confused.. He was super scared of me yesterday morning but got a lot better with me as the day went on.. I spent a LOT of time just sitting with him and taking to him letting him know that everything is gonna be OKAY!! He REALLY seems to like #BugsBullock!! #Bugs don't mind him but don't want him extremely close to him just yet.. Bugs has seen cows a LOT over the years and even shared the inside of the barn with them when there would be a weak one that needed doctored.. #PennyRose and #RalphieD DON'T know what to think of him at all!! Well Ralphie D was okay until Penny Rose went off about him.. Then he too became unsure.. #Raymond just looks at those two like they are crazy.. Of course the dogs aren't paying any attention to him because they are use to cattle.. Overall things are going very well since we arrived home with him.. He hasn't sucked the bottle yet.. Bugs tried to teach him how but Raymond wasn't ready to try it out yet.. Today I will try to grab him and show him how to suck it.. I am really just trying to let him get rid of his fear of me before being to forceful about it.. He is eating grass and drinking water so I am not worried about him starving but I do want to get that nutrition in him AND it will make him more of a pet..

#GunnerBoeh and I made it back home with little #RaymondArnold.. Before leaving Alabama #Gunner drove us to Tractor Supply and we bought #Raymond a lead rope, calf milk, a salt and a mineral block, some sweet feed, and a brush.. Gunner rode all the way home facing backwards to keep an eye on the #SketchyCow in the back!! Raymond rode very well in the car!! I was proud of him!! He did get a couple scratches on his little face and ear where I had to hit the breaks to fast and he slammed into the cage.. THAT MADE ME FEEL AWFUL!! He kicked me 3 times when I was trying to unload him.. One thing is for sure he is a healthy little dude!! He didn't take the bottle today and I didn't FORCE it . He was eating grass and drinking water so I figured I would let him get a little use to the place before pushing it to far.. I wanna make him friendly not scared.. #BugsBullock tried to teach him how to use his bottle but Raymond just didn't get the hint!! Tomorrow is a new day and I will be more persuasive in trying to get Raymond to participate in sucking the nipple.. I have faith he is going to love it once he sees what I am offering him.. I will keep ya posted

JUST A MONKEY this is borrowed loved it
From time to time, people tell me, “lighten up, it’s just a monkey,”
or “that’s a lot of money for just a monkey.”
They don’t understand the distance travelled, the time spent,
or the costs involved for “just a monkey.”
Some of my proudest moments have come about with “just a monkey.”
Many hours have passed and my only company was “just a monkey,”
but I did not once feel slighted.
Some of my saddest moments have been brought about by
“just a monkey,” and in those days of darkness, the gentle touch
of “just a monkey” gave me comfort and reason to overcome the day.
If you, too, think it’s “just a mobkey,” then you probably understand
phrases like “just a friend,” “just a sunrise,” or “just a promise.”
“Just a monkey” brings into my life the very essence of friendship,
trust, and pure unbridled joy.
“Just a monkey” brings out the compassion and patience
that make me a better person.
Because of “just a monkey” I will rise early, take long walks and look
longingly to the future.
So for me and folks like me, it’s not “just a monkey”
but an embodiment of all the hopes and dreams of the future,
the fond memories of the past, and the pure joy of the moment.
“Just a monkey” brings out what’s good in me and diverts my thoughts
away from myself and the worries of the day.
I hope that someday they can understand that its’ not “just a monkey”
but the thing that gives me humanity and keeps me from being
“just a man” or “just a woman.”
So the next time you hear the phrase “just a monkey,”
just smile, because they “just don’t understand.”

Penny Rose and Ralphie D are juvenile java macaque monkeys that are bursting with energy.. Watch them sort through their toys choosing their favorites to play with... If you know someone with a monkey who has a clean house than you know someone who doesn't allow their monkeys to play in the clean part of the house you are in because monkeys wreak havoc!! That's just what they do ESPECIALLY WHEN THEY ARE YOUNG!! Monkeys can spend up to 7 hours per day hunting!! That means they require a LOT of enrichment to their daily routine.. These monk kidz aren't being bad!! They are just being monks.. They own me.. Life is too short to fit in!!

#BugsBullock poolside I am!! Been spending a lot of time out in the yard since #MyHuman has been spending so much time at the hospital helping my GRANDhuman's.. My #GRANDpaps has been moved to the Anderson Mercy Hospital Rehabilitation Unit

He is trying to get to the point he can sit up and put his legs over the side of the bed.. His goal is to be able to put his weight on the one leg and get to the wheel chair.. Problem is what he calls his good leg just got a rod put down the femur from where it too was shattered in the impact.. He keeps getting into trouble for trying to use his hands, both are in a cast, trying to lift/adjust himself.. He is worried sick about all the things that are happening/should be working on and what's coming up.. He is stressed out trying to get better in time for the last cutting of hay.. He is the heartbeat of the farm no doubt!! The good news is the 14 feeder calf's they had sorted out got a new home.. They landed on a nice farm with lots of room and a nice pond.. That's one less thing for him to lay there and worry about.. He CAN'T SEE!! I mean he can see but everything is SUPER blurry.. They cut his eye badly during surgery and it isn't better yet.. He is getting down in the dumps being trapped and the most helpless he has ever been in his life.. My GRANDpaps is a hard worker and go getter!! He makes things happen.. He is up every morning and out working on something!! He goes non-stop!! Probably more than me!! I have gotten a bit lazy in my old age but not my GRANDpaps!! You can't slow that man down!! UNLESS YOUR A 1000 POUND BULL!!! I heard #TheHuman saying he seems to be getting depressed the longer he is totally stuck and unable to even sit up on his own.. He is also having a TERRIBLE TIME trying to eat!! They think it's from all the tubes being taken in and out of his mouth and will get better but it's AWFUL for right now!! His birthday is in a few days.. Well it's September 25!! He will be 79 on that day.. If you wanted to send him a HAPPY BIRTHDAY/GET WELL wish I included his address.. I am sure a caring card would make his day a bit brighter.. I know getting mail always makes mine brighter!! LOOK AT THE PICTURE OF MY GRANDPAPS AND RONNIE!! Since #GunnerBoeh hurt his little hand the #Macaques have been hanging out in the Capuchins pen.. Gunners favorite move is climbing across the roof and until his hand heals we don't want him doing that.. Both the Macaques and the Capuchins seem to like the change of scenery.. Louie Ray is enjoying harassing the pigs and chickens.. Gunner seems to LOVE the yellow tunnel and trampoline.. #RalphieD #PennyRose and #BugsBullock are really enjoying being so close to the house and all the new swings and big area.. I opened the door given them both pens to play in!! Boy they thought that was TOUGH!! They did get along OK but had a bit of Penny/Bugs drama over the door.. Things can go from HAPPY to DRAMATIC in a half a second with these guys but that's just life in the #MonkHood..

Louie Ray is a city capuchin monkey turned country!! He spent the first 17 years of his life in town with mostly dogs, cats, and people.. He finds all the animals here on the farm interesting and can't help himself when it comes to leaving them alone.. I keep a 15 foot lead on him but I often leave it loose without attaching it to anything.. He LOVEZ to head down to the barn yard and get the Macaque monkeys aroused.. Of course while he's there he has to check out the pigs and chickens.. Sometimes he runs up and shoves the pigs in the butt then quickly runs away.. It's hysterical.. I feel like he needs his own camera crew following behind him.. He would keep people laughing ALL DAY EVERY DAY.. Just like he does me.. He owns me.. Life is too short to fit in!!

#GunnerBoeh got to spend a little time loose in his new pen last night!! He was already hunting and looking through the dirt for goodies!! He is VERY HAPPY with the space he now has and is checking out every inch of it!! He needs some swings and ropes to sit on.. I have a couple things to hang and will work on that some time today.. THANK YOU FOR MAKING THIS HAPPEN FOR HIM!!! He will be so happy to have the same privileges the other monks do and a much healthier life with the sunshine and natural hunting/eating he will get out there.. TOGETHER WE ARE MAKING A DIFFERENCE ONE MONKEY AT A TIME!!

#LouieRay has his snap peas, #GunnerBoeh has his crickets, #RalphieD has his egg, #BugsBullock has his Boost and spinach, and #PennyRose has her Danimal and loads of watermelon.. They always look forward to a snack before bed.. They are so different/individual with their wants it's amazing. . #TheyOwnMe

Appalachian the great Pyrenees dog is known for chasing cats. I believe that is the reason EVERY monkey at Misfitland Monkey Rescue has a problem with him.. Louie Ray is no different than the other monks.. He gets tired of seeing the kitties that he raised chased and harassed by Appalachian and has no problem giving him the same type of harassment when he gets a chance.. Watch him go get his ball just to throw it at Appalachians head.. Then he tries several times to sling his lead at the ornery dog.. Appalachian isn't in the mood to deal with Louie's little monkey attitude and quickly puts him in his place telling him to leave him alone after moving to the other room!! Needless to say when Appalachian gets loud and serious Louie Ray backs off given Appalachian the space he wants.. They have their own way of getting their messages across but they get it across.. They own me.. Life is too short to fit in!!

Had a awesome time at Misfitland Monkey Rescue with Teresa. She is a awesome woman. She takes such good care of these monkeys. She rescues these monkeys. I have followed her on Facebook for a very long time. I have wanted to meet her since day 1. If you can please like and follow her page and donate if possible. If you can't donate please share her page. Her mission is so near and dear to my heart. She takes in these monkeys when their owners can't handle them or they need rehoming for other reasons so they don't go to other places that may use them for other reasons. She lets them be monkeys. She does not breed them. If you would like to meet Teresa and the monkeys she is in Moscow Ohio get up with her and she will let you know how to do that. Thank you Teresa for all you do for these monkeys and all animals at Misfitland. Thank you for allowing me to meet you and the monkeys. I'll be back when I can get to Ohio again.
