Capuchin monkey Gunner Boeh bought himself a new tablet.. He does play dates to earn cricket money but yesterday’s play date gave him a BONUS so he finally got to buy his very own tablet with it.. Sure he has used a tablet before but THIS ONE IS HIS!!! He doesn’t have to share it with anyone!! I have downloaded him a few toddler games.. I am hoping in time he will settle down and allow me to teach him how to do puzzles.. He owns me.. Life is too short to fit in!!!

His actual Monkey Mother thought his toes was so cute she bit a couple off for him.. This resulted in Gunner being taken from her earlier than the breeder hoped but was for his own safety.. He sure is a sweet little guy and I love him with ALL MY HEART!! I feel VERY BLESSED to be his Human.. He owns me.. Life is too short to fit in..

#GunnerBoeh got to take a #RoadTrip this past weekend to visit with his vet Dr Jodi.. She was visiting her house in NC and said Gun could use George’s room to hang out and play in if we wanted to spend a night!! SOOOOO we stayed!! WOW WHAT A ABSOLUTELY BEAUTIFUL HOME LOCATED IN THE MOUNTAIN!! #RonnieBullock got to bring a friend and OMGOSH they giggled and laughed like it was a slumber party.. It makes my heart SOOOOOO HAPPY to hear him giggle!! #Priceless
I can’t imagine climbing the driveway during a winter storm of any type!! It is a hard core serious step curvy drive that will make your butt pucker in good weather conditions let alone a bit of snow or ice!! Those people living there must be some some true daredevil’s no doubt!! We are extremely Thankful for the Holiday Jodi provided for us!!

Gunner Boeh is a VERY SMART capuchin monkey that absolutely adores the Humans that raised him!! Gunner misses his Humans a LOT and REALLY looks forward to visiting with them every chance he gets!! Gunner moved in to Misfitland Monkey Rescue a little over 2 years ago when his Human Daddy was under chemotherapy and radiation, fighting throat, cancer, and his Human Mommy had fallen and broken her tail bone. Then she caught Covid and it put her in the hospital for more than two months she didn’t had to go to rehab, and has never been able to fully recover since then.. As a matter of fact she has even had a stroke after getting back from the rehab facility where they worked with her trying to train her body to work properly again.. Her BIGGEST GOAL when working with the therapy people ways to be able to diaper Gunner again!! They used water bottles having her place diapers on them as though it was Gunner.. SHE LOVEZ HIM SOOOOOOOOO MUCH and her heart is broken that she and her husband are in such bad health that he just can’t live there.. They just can’t keep up with his hyper self and the needs he has ongoing.. HOWEVER Gunner will ALWAYS BE THEIR BABY BOY but I get the Honor of being his “OTHER MOTHER”!! I don’t mind being second as long as I get to be in his/their lives!! The Boeh’s are wonderful about supporting Gunner and sending/giving items he needs!! They are very loving Humans and they REALLY LOVE their monkey son and as you can tell HE LOVEZ THEM TOO!! Gunner is OKAY with visiting with them for a few hours and me picking him back up now!! He has figured out that he WILL get to come back and that they will come to visit him when they can physically make it.. I think this fact helped him “MOVE IN” and get past the SHOCK of his move to the farm.. Gunner didn’t eat much when he first came here.. What he did eat was hand feed and baby talked to convince him it was good.. After Dan’s first visit to see him I noticed a difference in his eating and each visit and even phone call from there he got a little more relaxed and before long he was OKAY with living here KNOWING his family wasn’t GONE FOREVER and he WILL be seeing them again!! Monkeys are EXTREMELY FAMILY ORIENTED!! They have emotions equally to OR EVEN DEEPER THAN WE DO TOWARDS THEIR TROOP!! We accept that kidz grow up and move away from the family/troop but in the monkey kingdom often they never totally LEAVE the family.. They don’t go to jobs, shopping, vacations, or things that detaches them from the family.. In fact they spend their entire day tending to their family in every way!! I feel Human Primates could learn a LOT from the non-human primates!!! They own me!! Life is too short to fit in!!

He honestly wants nothing more than to be hanging out with me.. He REALLY enjoys going bye bye to the feed store or over to visit his old house to visit his Humans for the afternoon.. He just LOVEZ to go!! Just like the rest of us Gunner enjoys a snack for his trips.. I have received a LOT of negative comments because I have allowed the babies to have a treat now and then that might not be 110% healthy.. I admit that I do allow them a bite of something I have because they want it BUT I DO IT KNOWING THAT THEIR MAIN DIET IS CRICKETS, MEALWORMS, GRASSHOPPERS, and OTHER INSECTS not whatever it is they seen them getting as a treat.. DIET and EXERCISE is the absolute most important thing about ANY LIVING CREATURE INCLUDING US!! Often people show EXTREME CONCERN about one and not the other!! ESPECIALLY PET OWNERS!! Often diet is the ONLY thing they consider when it comes to the animals needs.. They don’t realize LACK OF EXERCISE CAN KILL AS QUICKLY OR QUICKER THAN A BAD DIET!! It’s the same with Humans if you look at the life expectancy of an active person vs an inactive person DESPITE the diet without the proper exercise, keeping the arteries open, blood flow and organs in good shape along with maintaining proper vitamins from the Sunlight the life expectancy is cut in half or less.. Gunner will CHOOSE his crickets over almost ANYTHING you offer him!! This is very comforting to me!! I order his crickets 7,000 at a time twice a month so he has a endless supply at his fingertips.. He runs around with them in his bucket as though they are popcorn!! Watch him shovel them in with those tiny little monkey hands of his.. Gosh I adore him!! He owns me.. Life is too short to fit in!!

#GunnerBoeh behind the wheel #IAm!! I am a WONDERFUL driver!! I know this because #MyHuman tells me so!! I am learning the difference between turning left and turning right.. I know I can’t put my feet on the steering wheel while driving and I know I am SUPPOSED to keep my eyes on the road and the other sketchy drivers who are driving on it BUT I am a #MonkKid and #ADD is a issue with me.. I know the route to my REAL Humans house and I am confident that by the end of 2023 I will be able to navigate this thing over there on my own!! I just have to figure out how to reach that stupid gas pedal and break!! I have made my plan!! Now I just have to work that plan!! I have the NEED for belly rubs and kisses!! I I I mean THEY have the need to rub my belly and kiss it so I must get there more often to see them!! Their health/happiness depends on it!! I mean rubbing my #BuddhaBelly is INSTANT #GoodLuck!! #GunnerBoeh sucking my #BigToe #IAm!! I FINALLY get some #Humommy time to myself!! She has been doing a LOT of side work and of course still keeping up with things here.. Today she suffered from a MASSIVE headache but finally forced herself to get out there and finish the job that she PROMISED herself that she wouldn't quit last night until she had it running but ended up going in and gives up before she was finished AGAIN!! Tonight there is WORKING automatic waters in the 2 pins from the porch!! This is HUGE in our little monkey world!! No more broken water bottles or running out and hoping she sees it quickly!! I mean we will still be using the hanging bottles for our Gatorade but fresh water will never be an issue in this pin as long as the well doesn't run dry.. We still have to finish the other Monk barn and she wants to hang a self waterer for the dogs and cats on the porch.. She still has to put heat tape on it but that's her problem.. Us #MonkKidz only has to use it.. That's our part in this job.. ANYHOO I have a toe to suck and #MyHuman to groom.. She is feeling rough and I have a magic healing touch.. SOOOOOOOOO you know I am taking one for the team as they say

Goofy Gunner Boeh is at it again making me laugh even on the bad days!! Watch this precious boy turn on the charm with his ADORABLE SMILE and huggable kissable little hairy body.. GOSH I LOVE HIM!! In fact it goes without saying I ABSOLUTELY LOVE MONKEYS!! If you look at my arms you will see way more than just a old lady.. You will see 25.5 years of hard work and patience put into maintaining a relationship with them.. Those scars are pure love and dedication to the primates that I have had the honor of knowing and loving.. Some come from working to build their homes while others come from rough play.. I would be lying to say that some didn't come from anger.. Animals can be difficult.. JUST LIKE PEOPLE you can often assume what their actions are going to be or should be.. HOWEVER sometimes they are having a bad day and their actions are different and you are the one who walked in to catch the blunt of their anger.. There are GOOD days most of the time but bad days SOME of the time.. Living with monkeys, or anything else for that matter, has to be a TRUE LOVE of understanding that gets you through BETTER and WORSE with them.. #GunnerBoeh the #PartyAnimal #IAm!! Sure I got BUNCHES of cool toys and things to do for my #HappyBirthday BUT THE BESTEST GIFT OF ALL WAS VISITING WITH MYYYYY HUMANS!! Gosh I LOVE them and miss them more than you can imagine!! They love and miss me equally as much that's easy to see.. They always get super excited for my arrival and make sure I get a fresh dish to eat and something to drink.. Since it was my Birthday I also got a new kitchen outfit with loads of pots and pans along with food to cook!!! WOW I LOVE IT!!! #TheHuman said I need to share it with the other #MonkKidz but I am not sure that's going to happen.. I mean what if they burn up my pots and pans?? They were taught how to cook by our human and she thinks the #SmokeAlarm is a timer saying things are done.. I don't want MY stuff looking like her stuff!!! SERIOUSLY!!!

#GunnerBoeh 8 today #IAm!! #ThatsRight it's MY #HappyBirthday!! I got a #CarmelApple with NUTZ to celebrate and I have been sung to 3 different times!! I have a BUNCH of gifts at my REAL Humans house and I was told this morning that I was getting a ride over there in a little bit.. Next thing I know it was dark out and she is barking excuses to me about how tired she is and how she PROMISES I am going there tomorrow.. WHAT??? OMGOSH I CAN'T IMAGINE HOW HEARTBROKEN MY REAL #HUMOMMY MUST BE!!! She LOVEZ me more than anything!! She ALWAYS makes my birthday SPECIAL DELUXE and I have no doubt this year will be too EVEN IF I AM A DAY LATE getting there due to Human difficulty!! I swear this new Human is broken trainwreck!! I would trade her in for a new one but I worry about what would happen to her if I did?? I mean seriously no one else could deal with all her burnt food and #BrokenPromises like us #MonkKidz do!! As she left for her side job this mornin she said YOU BE A GOOD BOY AND I WILL BE BACK SOON AND I WILL GIVE YOU A RIDE TO SEE YOUR MOMMY AND DADDY.. #ILoveYou!! #GunnerBoeh the cold #IAm!! I have been trying to help #MyHuman get ready for winter around here!! We have been working outside and didn't realize how cold it was getting inside the home!! SOOOOOO I supervised her closely trying to instruct her as to how to lite the piolet light.. Yes it is supposed to have an automatic ignition BUT that went out many MANY MANYYYYY moons ago so we just bypass it.. The trick is you GOTTA light it on a windless day or else it keeps blowing back out... She has an old metal clothes hanger and she wraps toilet paper or paper of some type around it.. She has to get it all the way down to the pilot next to the thermal coupler without the fire going out.. I worked hard to rip the toilet paper up so she could use it.. My feelings were CRUSHED when she says DAMNIT #GUNNER I WAS USING THAT!!! I looked at her like DUH!!! I WAS HELPING OUT YOU #UNGRATEFULHUMAN!! She quickly jumped up and said I AM SORRY¡! I KNOW YOU WAS HELPING!! HERE I CAN STILL USE IT I AM JUST AGGRAVATED.. PLEASE FORGIVE ME.. I LOVE YOU.. I quickly accepted her apology and jumped up to watch her set fire to my hard work!! I want you to know it was the paper I PREPARED that lit the furnace!!! Without me she would probably still be sitting there shoving fire in a hole!! It's odd though!! The thermostat went out the end of last winter and she got a new one.. It worked fine for the a/c but is NOT working for the furnace.. It does make it kick on and heat up BUT WILL NOT turn the fan on.. As a matter of fact it will allow it to get so hot in there that it kicks a reset off going to the fan!! WTH?????? She can turn the fan on manually and blow the heat and that is what she has done a few times BUT she needs to figure the ACTUAL problem out!! I have done my part the rest is up to her.. SAY A LITTLE PRAYER SHE GETS IT FIGURED OUT ASAP!¡! Winter is knocking on the door AGAIN

Gunner Boeh is begging you to SHOP AMAZON-SMILE AND CHOOSE MISFITLAND TO HELP RESCUE MONKEYS!! Watch this extremely silly and yet hard working capuchin monkey help scrub the house!! He went and got the scrub brush from the bath tub that I use to do my fingers and toes with and he started helping us with the cleaning process.. He always cracks me up in the shower because HE wants to scrub my feet for me.. ITS ADORABLE and has almost made me fall a few times because I try to stand on one foot holding the other up for him to scrub.. I think it is so amazing the way they mimic EVERYTHING they see.. My precious monk kidz tending to each other.. Primate socializing is the GREATEST part of my job!! Making sure these guys are getting the social stimulation needed for complete happiness is a must when it comes to monkey comfort.. This simple action of affection is one of the MOST IMPORTANT parts of their daily life.. This is like hugging for Humans.. It's their way of showing affection.. #GunnerBoeh the traveler I am!! #TheHuman found a bicycle for my #RonnieBullock.. It's a mountain bike that can go anywhere BUT we had to drive 2.5 hours each way to get it.. It was a good deal so we decided to make the trip to get it.. I packed up my crickets and a couple diapers and we hit the road.. The scenery was BEAUTIFUL and the weather was great!! I ate and road like a big boy.. I was being so good then we meant the guy at a McDonald's to get the bike.. She didn't even let me out of the car!! I was SO MAD!! WTH?? I wanted to ride the new bike around the parking lot too!! Then they loaded it into the back of the car and we went to the drive thru where she got a sandwich, fries, and drink.. She offered me a piece of her sandwich but I don't like that crap and she knows it!! I took my little hand and brushed/flipped it out of my seat!! I PACKED MY OWN CRICKETS AND GRAPES!! I DON'T NEED THAT CRAP!! However I couldn't wait for her to get done with her pop!! I always get to have the ice when it's empty.. I LOVE THAT STUFF!! I dig my head deep down inside the cup licking every drop of everything off.. YUMMY IN MY TUMMY for sure!! We arrived back home without any trouble I was released from the car seat and headed in the house just to find out the dogs had gotten into garbage.. Then I was forced to listen to her lecture them for a half hour while she picked it up.. Seriously #GotMyButtKicked by #GunnerBoeh yesterday!! Bad enough I would have gotten a x-ray if I thought they could have done something/supported it in ANY way!! I am 99.9% something cracked when I hit the opened door with the left side of my face and the center of my chest, assuming breastbone?? What happened was I was trying to get out of here to go to Batavia.. I was running late, as usual, tossing food and water at animals making sure everyone was OKAY before I go.. I came back in from replacing the water bottles to find Gunner robbing the pen case again.. I said #DamnItGunner that's BAD!! He took off running and I took off after him.. We went around the bedroom across the bed and back out through to the kitchen.. I was almost caught up to him as we entered the living room and he leaped up grabbing the door handle.. I lunged thinking I had him now BUT he yanked the door open at the exact same time!! The edge part of the door felt like someone swung a solid ball bat at me.. It dropped me to the floor.. It smacked my cheek bone across my face too but that was nothing compared to the excruciating pain that has come along with this chest bone pain!! I break easy anyway but I think even if I didn't this one would have left a mark.. I stayed on the ground for a moment trying to get some air in my lungs and just STAND the pain.. After getting my breath back I said OKAY GUNNER!! YOU WON THIS ROUND!! He stuck his head back around the corner looking in at me like SO WHAT ARE YOU SAYIN?? THE GAME IS OVER?? I said You hurt me Gun!! You better come here and take care of me!! He grunted at me and I grunted back.. Then he came over and groomed me till I could stand up.. The rest of the day breathing deep, coughing, clearing my throat, etc was incredibly painful!! I was honestly concerned about what today was going to be like because of yesterdays pain but honestly it is better than yesterday vs worse.. IT IS STILL HURTING LIKE CRAZY but I able to move with out it literally taking my breath.. Coughing, clearing my throat, and such is still ROUGH!! Monkeys are badass!! Don't let them full ya

It is totally unbelievable how SMART the Black Caps are!! #GunnerBoeh watches me use tools all the time. He knows you are supposed to put an extension on the wrench sometimes.. Watch him work his socket wrench and then try to add what he thinks is an extension to it.. #GunnerBoeh #ManOfTheDay #IAm!! Don't know if you know it or not but I have a special LOVE for giraffes!! I have my own #EmotionalSupportAnimal named George.. He is my buddy!! We have been through a lot of emotional stuff together!! He is always there for me to HUGG on and let's me know everything is gonna be OKAY!! #ILoveGeorge!! He even came with me when I moved in here at #Misfitland.. George and #MyStuffedDog helped me SO MUCH when it come to transitioning into being part of this troop.. I was the #OnlyChild at my real home so sharing space, time, and attention with others wasn't the easiest thing for me to do.. I MISSED MY #HUMOMMY and #HUMDADDY SOMETHING TERRIBLE so the presence of my emotional support animals was more important than ever.. I would jump around on my stuffed dog riding him all the way through the house.. It was like I felt as long as I was on his back I was safe!! So after a while when I got brave enough to venture out onto the porch for playtime I took my dog with me.. George was smaller so #TheHuman keeps him in the car seat.. That's fine with me because sometimes road trips can be long and sometimes stressful.. Anyhooo when I started taking #MyDog to the porch with me I started driving him around the porch the same as I did inside when I first moved in.. In no time the concrete floor ate right through the cloth of his belly.. Then the Human asked #SonyaRoberts to fix it.. Sonya is badass with a sewing machine!! She took an old pair of jeans and sewed them onto my dog.. She said she thought the blue jeans would be better across the concrete floor.. The problem was I DON'T WANT BLUE JEANS ON MY DOG!! SOOOOOOOOO from that day forward I have only wanted my giraffe's!! Now my real #Humom sent me a rocking giraffe!! #ILoveIt!! I rock it day and night!! I watch TV from it and eat snacks on it.. #ItsPerfect!! Told my #NewHuman from here on out I am sticking with giraffes.. They are way less drama than dogs with holes that wanna wear pants!! Now I must get back to tending to my sister #AliceRae... This kid is a trainwreck but I am not givin up on her.. She needs me to show her the HOW TO's in life.. She REALLY looks up to me and totally follows my lead.. We have to learn to work together if we are ever going to get this Human trained properly!! Pray for us!! It isn't easy teaching a old Human new tricks!! js

It clearly said #Gunner on the box and whoever sent it clearly knows he has a yogurt drop addiction!! The small plain white ones seems to be a favorite!! He has tried them all but those are the ones he keeps going back to and demanding!! He also tried the dog treats.. I know that sounds gross and I don't know why he does it but he LOVEZ certain dog treats, especially the chicken meatballs , I often hear the feeder on the porch banging.. At first I ran out to see what he was breaking but after a couple times of rushing to find him doing nothing I realized that it was the metal flapper on the automatic dog feeder I was hearing bang as he was sneaking out bits of food.. HE ALWAYS HAS REAL FOOD AVAILABLE!! I PROMISE!! He just feels it's a treat I reckon.. I have seen #BugsBullock eat his cats food before but he didn't do it like Gunner does.. I haven't seen #PennyRose or #RalphieD pay attention to the dog or cat food.. My #AngelBullock used to balance the pieces of cat food on her little nose with her little head totally tilted back as far as it would go.. IT WAS SO ADORABLE!! I can see her doing it as I type this.. HER MEMORIES ARE SO WONDERFUL TO HAVE

the internet can be a wonderful thing!! through Facebook I have had the pleasure of meeting and interacting with loads of monkey people.. on one of the groups there was an opportunity to have a monkey gift exchange.. the Nelson troop got our troops name and sent these amazing durable and yummy gifts for them all to enjoy.. you can tell by the choice gifts that they are very used to the destruction of monkeys and wanted to make sure it would last.. the white toy has a very unique smell and definitely seems to be the favorite of all of the monk Kidz.. it's odd because they all feel like they are made out of the same materials yet the white one is somehow unique.. we want to say a very loud THANK YOU TO THE NELSON TROOP!! MERRY CHRISTMAS 2021 FROM ALL OF US MISFITZ AT MISFITLAND.. Life is too short to fit in!!

#GunnerBoeh #InsulationMonkey #IAm!! For what seems like weeks now #TheHuman and I have been filling EVERY crack from top to bottom of the barn and I do mean EVERY CRACK!! Other than the inside of the pump room we have the entire monkey barn done!! Well that's not true.. There is still a section she has to get on the roof and do.. She REALLY EXPECTED for us to be in the NEW barn by this time and didn't plan on another winter in this space but the price of building materials went up so high it was impossible to make happen right then.. Actually they are now considering only doing only HALF of the barn because prices are not coming back down as they promised but that's another story for another time . We should have just ordered an entire skid of foam insulation!! GEEEZZZZ I COULDN'T EVEN TELL YA HOW MANY CANS WE HAVE WENT THROUGH!! One thing is for sure the wind isn't coming in and the heat isn't going out this winter!! I personally think the stuff looks like yummy marshmallows coming out of the can but OMGOSH it's WAYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY stickier and smells funny too.. #StayWarm

I was going to go ahead and put everything on the wish list on the credit card when I was there last night but unfortunately it wouldn't go through.. This list has a variety of items for EVERY ANIMAL at #Misfitland.. Some items are food WHICH WE ALL LOVE and some are toys that we just want.. There is a water heater on there that would be AMAZING to have in the monk barn where we are working on running water lines right now.. #TheHuman thinks hot water might help her to be able to clean better.. There is also some cleaning supplies that we go through a LOT of and even some fake rocks and handles to hang on the polls in our play area to make climbing easier and funner for all of us #MonkKidz.. There is also of the Amazon wish list https://a.co/0UsLH6n filled with options that would make any monkey HAPPY to get.. I would order it myself but after almost factory resetting #MyHumans cellphone my phone privileges has been restricted #BIGTIME!! REMEMBER gifts is NOT what CHRISTmas is about but OMGOSH I will admit it does make it more FUN!! THANK YOU FOR REMEMBERING US MISFITZ ON THIS SPECIAL HOLIDAY!!

#GunnerBoeh learning how to run the register with his new friend Sharron the checkout lady.. He helped her find our non-profit organization in her computer.. He also helped me get 12 more cans of foam insulation and a new key for Dave a guy from church.. He was EXCELLENT in the store!! I was VERY proud of his obedient actions.. #HeOwnsMe
