SO I stopped and got a 20 pack of Whitty Cassel's on the way home for everyone.. Bugs Bullock a 21 year old macaque monkey with a nose for something GOOD was laying on the couch watching TV rubbing his adorable belly when I sat the bags of sliders on the table and walked in to the bathroom to wash my hands!! When I came back out THIS is what I saw!! He tried almost every one of them enjoying the cooked onions off them leaving the rest of the yummy treat fall to the ground.. I know some people are going to ask WHY IS HE ALLOWED TO DO THIS?? First of all it wasn't planned!! Secondly in the old days he would have bit the crap out of me for even considering taken it away from him!! Now with his age and health he knows he can't over power me any more AND after doing 12 to 15 years behind bars for his previous offenses he makes wiser decisions and chooses not to even try.. So the real reason I allowed him to go ahead and finish what he started with the burgers is they aren't as important to me as watching him eat all those onions AND OF COURSE THE OBVIOUS ANSWER to make this video of what REAL LIFE with a monkey is like.. He owns me.. Life is too short to fit in!!

#BugsBullock opened the microwave and found the eggs #AvaLouise and Lisa Newby left for him!! He instantly started his grunting in excitement!! I wanted to wait and hand it to him where I could film him enjoying it.. HOWEVER he was SO EXCITED about the gift he discovered I couldn't make him wait.. I tried to video it the best I could but he kept his back to me.. I did try to hold it inside the microwave and get him the best I could.. His LOVE for raw eggs is unreal!! He use to LOVE to hunt the trees for buds, bugs, nest of eggs, and other critters that would be there..That was before the Ohio laws changed about his cage.. This is a quail egg.. They are supposed to be super good for monks.. SOOOOOOOOOO I am thinking about getting some quail to produce them for us

When my GRANDpaps got charged by the bull 3 weeks ago things around our place kinda STOPPED!! #TheHuman was spending all her time at the hospital worrying about him and trying to help take care of his cows.. #BugsBullock the full of poop I am!! I had a rough day yesterday!! Wasn't feeling like myself.. #MyHuman pays VERY CLOSE ATTENTION to my eating/pooping habits.. She could tell I hadn't been eating as much and my diaper proved I wasn't pooping that much the past few days.. She called the pharmacy to get a refill of that miracle medication doc gives me for times like this but they couldn't have it ready till 4 p.m. SOOOOOOOOOO I had a me and my Humom type of day.. I laid on her and she held me tight.. She kept sticking that stupid sippy cup in my face ALL DAY!! She kept saying YOU NEED LIQUID TO POOP BUGS!! I know that and would now and then take a drink from her but she was being ridiculously pushy and that got on my nerve!! She could feel my little belly trying to PUSH but it just wasn't coming out.. I now have 2 doses of medicine in me and I have pooped a bit.. I feel a bit better today but still hanging out in the house.. I have brushed my teeth and combed my hair.. I have drank my Boost and ate a couple onions.. I am moving more freely but still have more poop to get rid of before my belly will be better.. Say a prayer for me that I get to feeling better and that she will QUIT putting that sippy cup in my face!! It's getting on my nerve!! I keep shoving it away and she keeps putting it back to my mouth.. I really don't see her logic about it!! How will putting liquid in one end make a solid come out the other end??? #WeirdWoman

Haven't been feeling real good the past couple weeks and my body is EXHAUSTED!! This morning I had all I could take I guess.. Ralphie D and Penny Rose woke up a little after 6 a.m. and I couldn't talk them into going back to sleep.. I got up and took them out to the barn/play yard and laid back down with Bugs.. He was more than happy to snuggle back down in the covers and close his little eyes. Next thing I know Bugs was tapping me to wake up!! WE SLEPT ALL MORNING!! Everyone of the animals had to eat brunch vs breakfast.. Not sure HOW I went into such a deep sleep but God knows I needed it. I just felt bad they all ate late.. I do keep monkey chow in front of them at all times but they enjoy fresh fruit and vegetables in the morning.. No matter what time I do get up I gotta admit Bugs Bullock IS the BEST part of waking up!! His grooming is a perfect way to kick off any day!! He owns me.. Life is too short to fit in!!

Y'all remember when Chuck and Andrea came to build the first pen off of the porch and EVERYONE wanted to know if #BugsBullock would ever get to use it??? WELLLLLLLLLL yesterday I had #GunnerBoeh out on the porch and I let #LouieRay play on Gunners side for a while.. I was scrubbing the other barn and #Bugs didn't act like he wanted locked out with #RalphieD and #PennyRose so I went ahead and put Bug in Louie's pen.. HE LOVED IT!! When he first got sick I put him in that side but didn't give h access to the outside.. Today he wasted NO TIME heading out to play.. He seemed to have a blast hunting in the yard there.. Don't know if it was cause it's new OR if Macaques eat different types of bugs and such than the Capuchins?? Either way HE LOVED it and I wanted to share a bit of it with you!!

#BugsBullock the chef I am!! I love to help make banana cakes!! I didn't make any this morning though.. I took a notion to sleep outside and watch all the fireworks that people set off till weeeee hours in the morning.. The fact that I haven't been sleeping outside for a LONG time helped throw #MyHuman into a full blown heart attack.. She came in to the barn to get us for bed and only Penny and Ralphie was there.. I could hear her yelling my name and maybe even grunted to answer her but she never heard/saw me.. I seen her come out in my pen with the flashlight and she just kept calling my name.. She looked on all the areas I normally like to sit and all over the ground.. Her voice was shakey and she was sounding stressed.. I was totally tucked in tight up in the hammock at the top and didn't want to move.. No I don't normally sit there but I don't normally plan to sleep out all night either!! After a minute I popped a bit of my head over the hammock and started watching her.. Before long she shined her light from the ground back up my way again.. This time she spotted my eyes.. Gig was up!! She was VERY happy to see me sitting there so I blew her a few kisses.. I went ahead and slept out there.. That way I could get up and hunt early.. After all the early monkey gets the grubs!! #happy4thofjuly

Just had a SERIOUS panic attack.. As the sun was going down I was feeding the pigs and noticed #BugsBullock sitting out on his tire swing in his play yard.. I finished feeding then took a shower before going out to get #RalphieD #PennyRose and #Bugs for bed.. When I got back out to the monk barn only Penny and Ralphie was in there.. I started yelling for Bugs.. I thought something must be wrong!! I turned the light on my phone and headed out yelling his name.. He was gone from the tire swing and gone from everywhere!! Every step my legs was getting weaker and my head was full of fear!! What could have happened to him?? He can't get out of here!! Why can't I see him?? Fearfully I just kept looking with the worst thought going through my head.. THEN SUDDENLY I SPOTTED HIS LITTLE HEAD LOOKING OVER THE SIDE OF HIS HAMMOCK!! Guess he decided to sleep outside and watch fireworks tonight.. He and #AngelBullock use to LOVE to watch them from the trees and once it got dark they just stayed there for the night.. I guess some things never change.. THANK YOU GOD FOR LETTING MY BOY BE OKAY!! I sure worked myself into a frenzy!! These monkeys are going to be the death of me

Can you see those ADORABLE little monkey hand prints on my TV?? #Bugs is always getting flip with someone on the screen.. He cracks me up DELUXE when he gets so INVOLVED with what's going on.... I will never forget when I reached up and wiped the window Angels little handprints was all over after she passed.. it was something I just done without thinking until it was too late.. Can't tell you how enjoyable it is to wake up to this guy!! Bugs Bullock is a 21 year old Java Macaque monkey with a technique like none other when it comes to grooming!! Monkeys show love and respect to others by grooming so just being groomed is a honor but to be groomed with this kinda techniques is a GREAT HONOR!! You will notice his hands are thick with strength so his slaps are muscular.. You will also notice his nails are long and sharp.. It gives him great ability to zero in on whatever he is digging at with a slight scrap.. I know it sounds rough but somehow the combination of the two feels downright incredible!! Each monkey has a different feel when they groom me.. I LIVE for the feeling!! The sensation I get from their unique little hands is pure love throughout my body.. #BugsBullock the #GUILTY I am!! I am feeling a LOT better these dayz!! As a matter of fact it's hard to look at me now and think that I was steps away from death a short 7.5 months ago.. There was a time #MyHuman didn't think I was going to make it to my 21st birthday and now she couldn't be happier with the way things are going for me and thankz God for every second she has with me!! She knows our time is a true gift she almost didn't have.. As I get stronger so does my attitude!! This part might be causing a bit of a problem.. I AM THE MAN OF THIS PLACE AND IT'S MY JOB TO MAKE SURE EVERYONE KNOWS IT!! ESPECIALLY #RALPHIED!! He's my real competition around here!! OHHHHH I like the little guy don't get me wrong.. I let him groom me and I do play wrestle with him but I also know he is trying to take my #ALPHA position and I am not ready to give it up yet!! SOOOOOOOOOOO I do my intimidation grunts/looks at him on a regular basis as a reminder of #WhosTheMan!! When I do it he acts CRAZY!! He screams and throws himself down shaking and crying for Mommy!! It's ridiculous!! SOMETIMES #PennyRose has my back but lately she has had Ralphie D's back and that is just wrong!! When she comes after me all the sudden Ralphie D feels bigger and he too comes after me.. Suddenly the tables have turned and I jump up to #TheHumans shoulders holding on to her head with all my might as she is trying to regain order!! Penny and Ralphie will be coming at me swinging so I swing back as well!! Sometimes the human ends up with a couple casualties out of it.. For #MothersDay she got BOTH eyes scratched!! One of them inside the eyeball and over the eye lid the other just beside the eyeball.. She also got a few scratches across the face and nose.. One side happened in the morning the other in the evening.. Now she has a special spinning nail file that she thinks she is gonna use on me!! Ha we will see how that goes!! In the meantime she should really consider finding out how to apply real makeup!! You know foundation and stuff!! Her face is a mess..

#BugsBullock the hungry I am!! I ate my oatmeal like a #BigBoy!! Yes I had to dump it all over to pick out the GOOD STUFF but that's to be expected.. Then I took a real big drink holding my sippy cup by myself!! Then I took to cleaning #MyHuman off a bit.. She is always a Trainwreck.. Watch the video here https://youtu.be/mcn6H1Tlu8Y . I must say its a MUCH better morning than yesterday!! I was SO MAD yesterday I couldn't see straight!! We all got up and everything was good.. I was feeling especially clingy to #TheHuman and didn't want #RalphieD or #PennyRose anywhere near her.. As a matter of fact after I told them a few times to get away I decided I didn't even want them in the same room as us!! I was trying to provide peace and quiet for the human and they was interrupting my brilliant plan!! Next thing I knew the human was taken up for them in the SUPER MEAN VOICE and STOMPING HER FEET COMING AFTER ME!! I was like WHAT???? IT WAS ALLLLLLL FOR YOU MOM!! but NOOOO I could see she wasn't having it so I tried to make a run for it but she snatched ahold of me by the tail as I made my move!! Then she put me in the time out cage!! I refused to go in at first!! I grabbed the door and wall with all my hands and feet but she over powered me in anyway!! Then the worst part happened!! I had to watch Ralphie and Penny play and have fun while the human made breakfast without me!! IT WAS A NIGHTMARE!! Today I was good as gold!! There was a few times the babies was wrestling and I started to say something but bit my little tongue.. The human saw how hard I worked at it being good and rewarded me by leaving me in when she took Ralph and Pen to the barn yard!! I AM LOVING IT!! It's just me and MY mommy today!! Now I must GROOM!!

Life just don't get more perfect than this!! Bugs Bullock and I have been working hard putting together a swing for his outside pin. I got aggravated when I couldn't get the final peace to snap in there!! Bugs was unable to hold the other end of the swing tight enough to make it fit for me but he was able to quickly lower my blood pressure with his sweet Macaque slaps and loving touch.. Instantly my eyes quit jumping and blood started flowing properly as he sifted through my hair.. Before long I found myself drifting off to sleep having trouble holding the camera,. Bugs LOVEZ his surprise
Heather Harden went all out!! OMG #Bugs LOVEZ his fruit snacks a LOT!! So does #RalphieD!! They I have never had this kind before!! Bugs has lost enough bloat that he can wear a size 6 diaper now!! I am so impressed with how well he is doing!! So is his doctor.. He certainly had me scared there for a while!! That's why Heather sent the Pedialyte as well!!; Keeping him hydrated is very important to his liver health.. I am having a lot of trouble recalling who sent the puffs but again we are very thankful for them.. I have noticed they don't like them as well as they do freaks and nuts but they will eat them from time to time... THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU FOR TENDING TO THE #MONKKIDZ!!! IT MEANS MORE TO THEM THAN YOU WILL EVER KNOW

#BugsBullock the POed I am!! For days yes you read that right DAYS I have had a FEW boxes to open!! Couple times it didn't happen because I may have been checking out the dogs butt and wouldn't stop so she gave me a ride to the barn BUT for 2 YES 2 mornings now she was planning to take the babies over and let me open MY PERSONAL MAIL IN PRIVATE but NOOOOOOOOOOO every time the phone rings and it's I am sorry #Bugs I have to go chase cows!! She rushes us to the barn when those calls come and takes off like we don't even exist!! I was flabbergasted when it happened AGAIN this morning!! I gave her a look like YOUR WORD MEANS NOTHING TO ME WOMAN and turned my back to her when she put me in the pin!! She just recently came in and brought us out a snack saying how sorry she is and she is gonna work hard to get me out early tonight.. I will believe it when it happens!! She says that stuff then works till even later than the night before!! Like I said her word means NOTHING to me anymore!! #MotherLier #NeglectedMonkey

#BugsBullock the happy I am!! I am eating and pooping like a CHAMP!! My belly that use to be hard as a rock now feels like a normal belly!! I am standing and walking MUCH better with all that blot gone.. I am still taking my meds like a big boy even though I am healthy enough to fight her from given it to me.. I KNOW how much better it makes me feel so I just swallow it without fussin!! I remember most EVERYTHING about being a inside monkey!! I hold my hands and feet out to be washed. I love to be combed and I LOVE to snuggle in the bed!! I jump in #MyHuman's arms when she walks in and jump right across her chest when she lays down!! I remember EVERYTHING except WHY I quit letting her treat me like this in the first place.. I forget why I didn't want her picking me up and why I ever bit her to begin with.. I am gonna do everything I can to make sure I never become that #BratMonkey again!! I enjoy being a house monkey with bed and bottle privileges!! Not Blowing This!! #TheGoodLife

My handsome #Bugs eating his spinach and growing stronger each day!! He is on his 3rd round of antibiotics and the difference in him is INCREDIBLE!! I am SO IMPRESSED with his healing.. His colon and kidneys seems to be working properly.. From what I understand as long as we fix the underlying problem which is the fungal infection then the liver can start healing itself.. I PRAY THIS IS TRUE AND HAPPENS FOR HIM!! No matter what each minute I have with him is a gift that I almost didn't have anymore.. For that I am SO THANKFUL!! #ILOVEYOU #BugsBullock

SOOOO #Bugs is ripping his diaper off, threatening the dog, playing in the fish tank, and trashing the counter tops!! He is out in the monk barn for the rest of the day!! I can't keep up with his shenanigans and that is a VERY good thing!! He went straight outside when arriving back at the barn!! He has missed that freedom!! Bugs LOVEZ sunshine in his face!! I just pray he comes back to me and allows me to do the diapers and such like he has been!! I have ENJOYED getting to LOVE on him!! Sleeping with him is something I NEVER thought I would get to do again!!! I have missed it SOOOOOOOO MUCH!! It feels priceless having him tucked in with me at night!! Never wanna loose that feeling again if at all possible

#Bugs has a belt on for the first time ever... I wanted this to happen while he is still being humble.. Listen to him yell in fear vs growl with rage as I grab him to fasten it.. He is a totally different animal now that he has been ill.. Hope he keeps this Sweet disposition as he keeps improving!! God knows I am LOVING it!!! I have MISSED getting to have him in the center of things since he got so dominant.. He just became impossible to work with as he hit adulthood.. He remembers what life inside was like now.. I think he missed it..

I left #Bugs down on the kitchen floor while I ran Ralphie and Penny over to the barn.. By the time I got back Bug had crawled back up into my bed.. He thinks he is REALLY getting by with something!! He was so good last night.. I worried because he hadn't slept in a bed with someone for so many years I figured he would keep waking me up.. I was totally wrong!! He was PERFECT!! I woke up with him snuggled to my head!! WHAT A WONDERFUL WAY TO START MY DAY!!! I just pray that as he gets better he keeps this sweet personality he has going on right now.. There was a time he was the sweetest monkey I had.. I hope he remembers nice is what allows him to be inside.. He is smart!! He can figure it out

#Bugs is feeling even better today!! He is getting into things, chased the dog, and ate a BUNCH!! He is talking up a storm and even got a full body massage from #RalphieD, video here https://youtu.be/F_xzCMt90Nw.. He has went from room to room following me moving better than yesterday!! He isn't hardly fighting me at all with his medicine!! I honestly think he knows it's making him feel better!! The guy at the pharmacy worked hard to hide the nasty taste and flavor it with cherry.. IT MUST'VE WORKED!! No way would he allow me to force something in his mouth as long as he had any strength in him at all!! I have been SO WORRIED about being able to continue to get his meds in him as he gets stronger.. He is as strong as I am and not afraid to use his mouth or sharp nails to make me understand he don't want something to happen to him.. THANK GOD HE IS OK WITH THIS TASTE AND EFFECTS!! Otherwise the results would be awful.. Look at how his mouth is even drawn to the right.. It's like the infection has effected the whole right side of his little body.. Almost like a stroke.. I am just thankful he is gaining each day!! I have really enjoyed having him close to me and I NEVER thought he would ever be loose in the house on purpose again but look at him go.. He is quite the little man.. I LOVE HIM SO MUCH

He saw me and tried to dart back then quickly gave up and started talking to me.. he has moved more today than he has in a week!! I am so very thankful!! He sure is a talker!! He always has been!!! #BugsBullock sitting at the kitchen table with me.. He really thinks he is getting by with something!! I never thought I would see this day again.. He became so HARD CORE when he reached adulthood I didn't think he would ever be considered handable again.. I am glad today he feels good enough to be up and sweet enough to be held.. His sickness has really humbled him a LOT.. I guess it has a way of doing that to all of us.. Today is a much better day for him than he has been having.. So happy he is improving.. Slowly but surely I see him do a little more each day!! Pray for him and his liver to heal..

Dehydration is a big deal when it comes to the liver issue Bug us fighting and the Doctor said a drink like #Pedialyte is what he needs a lot of.. Sue Napier Gorny made sure he not only got plenty of grape flavor Pedialyte for his hydration but she also sent him a case of vanilla Boost for nutrition.. He was more than happy to get a bottle of his grape drink right away!! He guzzled it! THANK YOU SOOOOOOOOOO VERY MUCH SUE!! It will go to HEALTHY use

Celebrated #Bugs 21st birthday today!! I am SOOOOOOOO THANKFUL he is here to celebrate.. He got some of his most FAVORITE items in the whole world to celebrate with!! He is ready to take care of business with his high tech cell phones, land phones, calculator, label machine, and remotes!! #ThisGuy got it all!! He can rip out buttons and see his reflection all at the same time!! IT'S A MONKEYS DREAM COME TRUE!! He was SOOOOOOOO EXCITED HE COULDN'T STOP SCREAMING!! He was cracking me up with his extreme outburst that went on the entire time we opened gifts.. He was SO HAPPY it made me SO HAPPY!! Please excuse my appearance.. I just got done cleaning 5 monkey cages and a parrot cage along with 3 loads of laundry that I still had to fold that was waiting for me on the bed.. Been a long day and I didn't get as much personal time with Bug man that I wanted BUT WHAT I DID GET TO SPEND WITH HIM WAS PRICELESS!!! He was so excited to be out on the couch!! He is liking being inside with me.. I ordered him a special S.A.D light for him.. Don't want him getting depressed from lack of sunlight.. Maybe we can sit in the light and get happy together..

#Bugs is feeling better today!! He has a LOT to say!! He was yelling for me to come see him.. It was cute!! He seems to be holding himself better.. He is getting some balance back!! I AM SO THANKFUL FOR THAT!!! I have been so concerned about it.. A few times I have wondered if he was going to even keep trying to survive.. He REALLY got bad after surgery.. I am SO THANKFUL to see a glimmer in his eye and desire back in his heart!! KEEP PRAYING!! YOUR BEING HEARD!! He has gone from little to no hope to HE'S GETTING BETTER!!! I hear the liver can heal itself over time if you can fix the issue that was causing the damage.. His liver has a lot of damage but it's not impossible for it to heal..

SO EXCITED TO ANNOUNCE #BUGSBULLOCK SEEMS A LITTLE BETTER TODAY!!! He seems to have a bit more balance!! He isn't falling over as much or having to brace himself to keep himself from falling over.. he seems more talkative and wants to be touched more!! I think between the strong dose of antibiotic shot that doc gave him and the compounding medicine we now have him on something is starting to go right!! I guess this hunkered over falling over thing isn't from back pain as much as it's from infection.. GOD I WISH HE COULD TALK TO ME!! It's so hard trying to guess what's wrong.. since we know he has two blown disc in his back it only made sense his back was doing it to him.
This is for sure a hard thing to diagnose.. in all honesty were lucky to be this far ahead.. if they had not opened him up for surgery they would have never known about his liver and we would have never known to look for an infection/underlying problem.. I just thank God everything worked out like it did and we found out when we did.. otherwise this year would have been starting very differently.. HAPPY NEW YEAR Y'ALL!!! DON'T FORGET BUGS HIS BIRTHDAY IS JANUARY 5TH!! HE WILL BE 21

Called Doc this morning with a thought about what he had said about long term infection causing this with Bugs.. I mentioned about a time YEARS ago that he had an infection that showed up in his poop I mailed in.. He said to let him check into it and get back with me.. He just called and he honestly believes we have discovered the underlying cause of what's happening to him!! It takes a special antibiotic that only comes from a compound pharmacy in a liquid.. He is trying to find one local so we don't have to wait for the mail to deliver it.. PRAY HE FINDS ONE!! I wanna get this started in him ASAP!! I remember how HARD it was trying to get Bugs to take that medicine!! We tried 3 different refills to get him better.. THE GOOD NEWS IS FINDING A ANSWER TO THE CAUSE!! NOW WE CAN FIGHT THE CAUSE AND HONESTLY HELP HIM GET BETTER!! Right now he is weak enough I can get medicine in him.. Or at least better than I ever could.. He still spits some out or grips his teeth super tight.. It's hard but he's SO WORTH IT!!
OK they just called back and his meds are called in.. I have to drive to Williamsburg to get it so I must hit the road NOW!!! KEEP PRAYING!!! WE ARE GETTING SOMEWHERE!!!

Sorry about all the mud on the floor.. I swear I tried to get it off before trashing the floor.. This wasn't a planned visit and I was in a MAJOR hurry.. I had to feed the cows before leaving or they would be out walking the streets before I got back home.. I did that on the way here and didn't think to bring fresh shoes.. Good news is Bugs is about to get a back alignment and should feel better by the time he wakes up.. That's my prayer anyway.

#Bugs is home and tucked in for the night.. The readings have come back and there is no apparent reason for his hardening of the liver... They checked for things like hepatitis and other big things that causes it and only came up with a list of could be items.. One of the things is an ongoing infection.. Doc thinks it's a good idea to get him a serious round of antibiotics.. LET'S PRAY I CAN GET IT IN HIM!! He didn't get the steroid shot I was hoping for today because Doc wants to wait till he has had no pain killer for 2 days so day after tomorrow he can start a steroid.. He got a back adjustment/alignment that should give him some relief as well as a much needed bath.. KEEP PRAYING FOR HIM!! He has had a rough few weeks.. He needs a break..

Back at Doc's with #Bugs.. He seemed stiffer today and it's almost a holiday weekend so I didn't want him to go unseen to long . He needs an alignment and steroids at minimum. He is pooping and peeing at a impressive rate if we could just get him out of pain!! He is sitting in a odd position and even looses his balance and falls over when he tries to nap... IT'S SAD!! I hope he gets instant relief with the adjustment!! I will update you as I know more.. Pray for him PLEASE
