I have used 3 full cases of caulk over here at the #RedneckParadise and I am still in need of a few more BUT it will have to wait till I run to The Home Depot to buy a couple sink faucets and 3 doors (yes they stole the doors and faucets) so Barbara and Lisa can have a bit of privacy during their visit.. Gonna slap some paint on real quick.. I know I am not going to get it COMPLETED (I am blaming the double ear infection lol) by their arrival Friday BUT I hope to have all the ceilings done and at least one coat on the walls and trim as a primer for the finish that will take place AFTER the 10th Annual Misfitland Homecoming Meet and Greet .. At least it will be CLEAN and fresh smelling!!!

Still got a TON of caulking to do but overall the #RedneckParadise is getting close to being ready to slap some paint on it!!! I get hung up in spots that end up taking WAYYYYYY LONGER than it should but when I get hung up is when #MeAndJesus has some of our BEST conversations and before long we work it out and make it happen so that’s OKAY!!! Gonna be exciting after we get the fresh paint and pool table set up!!! Not sure if I can get the pool table over here before homecoming though I am thinking I’m probably going to have to kind of quit on it after I get the walls done and the toilets fixed so I can prepare the barn and outdoor area… but it is coming soon #BabySteps #LifeIsTooShortToFitIn

DREAMS DONT WORK UNLESS YOU DO!!!! Started working on my #RedneckParadise!!! Nobody understands how much WORK goes in to preparing to paint!! Multiple holes in the walls though out the place.. Don’t think they missed messing up walls in even one room!!! I am not big on drywall!!! Never has been my thing!!! I hate sanding and mudding it and #OMGOSH THAT DUST!!! Even sanding while holding the shop vac gives me a headache!!! Not to mention the fact that it never appears totally seamlessly!!! Truth is I am NOT a professional anything especially drywall finisher!!! I am more of a just caulk it person!!! #LMAO!!!! A while back a friend gave me a bunch of old flooring that they had taken outta his house when his wife accidentally left the water on and flooded the house… It’s all like new AND IT’S THE SAME THICKNESS AS THE DRYWALL soooooooooo #GuessWho has flooring on their walls???? I figure it’s more #HeavyDuty than regular drywall AND it’s not like the walls are in perfect condition anyway… When I get done with it you won’t be able to know what I have done (or didn’t do) to patch the holes but you will be able to tell they are fixed and that’s the part that matters!! I have found a couple spots that are leaking from rain (water is the enemy when it comes to damage in hidden areas so I do have a small bad spot of floor to fix as well.. I have friends coming in from Alabama and Texas for the 10th Annual Misfitland Homecoming Meet and Greet and I want them to stay with me here on the farm BUT they both have animals that they are concerned about the monkeys hanging out with (worlds smallest monkey and a ADORABLE little dog that has had a lot of trauma in it lifetime) so I MUST have a place for them to be comfortable prepared for their arrival.. I work well under pressure so it’s the extra pressure that I have NEEDED to get focused on the project!!! I can honestly say that on July 12, 2026 I do plan to take the day off and rest!!! I have been trying to make up for YEARS of being so sick I just couldn’t!!!! #ThankYouGod for healing me and giving me the ability to get this crap done!!!!

Christina Baumgartner the #MonkKidz are SOOOOOO THANKFUL for the box of treats you sent for them and OOOOHHHHHH YOUR TIMING COULDNT BE BETTER FOR THEIR NEW SWING!!!!! Failed an inspection and a BUNCH of their swings had to come down because they have ripped them!!! THIS IS PERFECT!!!! I also failed for rust on my fence and missing paint where the little #Punkmonkeys sit and pick at it and I scraped it down to stop them from chipping it.. As a landlord as long as there was no chipping pieces you can pass an inspection BUT ANIMALS are held to a higher standard than that for humans so they can’t have ANY missing paint areas… That seemed odd to me but whatever.. It looks better painted anyway… The biggest deal is PREPARING to paint!!! Patch work and caulking takes FOREVER but it certainly makes the paint job look better in the end!!! I HATE OIL BASED PAINT!!! I can taste it in my mouth now and for the past fews DAYS!!. I actually got sick to my stomach yesterday but felt much better afterwards!!! I am praying that today is my last FULL DAY of oil based paint but I am OUT so say a prayer that I can find some and be DONE with this part of the nightmare!!! Of course on top of all the fence and pen painting and pool set ups there is the normal cooking, cleaning, laundry, dishes, and repair to keep up with… Sometimes I feel like a one legged man in a butt kicking contest BUT I AM STILL IN THE CONTEST SO ITS A GOOD THING!!!! Not gonna lie I literally had tears come from my eyes when #PennyRose went for her first swim in her big pool… This doesn’t look like much I know BUT what you don’t see is the TIME and EFFORT it took to make THIS happen!!! Not complaining just saying that the REWARD for my work was overwhelming and SOOOOOOO worth every bit of pain my body endured making it happen!!!! I started buying pools and such EARLY to provide the #MonkKidz the season THEY DESERVE!!! For years I was so sick with good intentions that I was physically incapable of doing!!! I AM SOOOOOOO MUCH BETTER NOW and trying my HARDEST to make up for lost time!!!! Then I had an inspection saying that the fence has to much rust on it so I was forced to stop and tend to painting fence!!! I HATE PAINTING FENCE but gotta do what I gotta do.. This of course trumped setting up swimming pools… THEN I convened myself to DO IT ALL AT ONCE!!! I mean I had to take the fence down in order to get the pool inside anyway right??? That would stop me from having to pull all the grass away from the bottom on that part which took FOREVER it seemed… #WinWin right???? It sporadically rained for DAYS while this was happening as well so in between rain falls I would focus on moving dirt/MUD into the pen to be able to level the pool… AINT GONNA LIE ABOUT THAT CLUSTER EITHER!!!!! Large clumps of mud was left unspread BECAUSE I CANT!!! I decided that the weight of the water could do the work for me because I was OVER IT!!!! I had 10 pounds of mud on each boot and 20 pounds stuck to my shovel!!! YOU CAN NOT SPREAD MUD!!! #TrustMe!!! Took DAYZ between working and rain it felt like FOREVER!!!! I had Penny and #ReesieCup locked in the smaller outdoor area waiting for me to finish the pool area and it was driving me CRAZY wanting them out!!!! Just like we can get moody they too get moody… I want them to have PLENTY of room to get away from each other in those moments!!! I would preach to myself over and over YOU GOTTA GET THOSE BABIES LOOSE!!! Did he take Pennys WHATEVER??? Do they have plenty of WHATEVER to keep them from getting aggravated with each other??? GET THE FREAKING FENCE UP was screamed at me in my head a thousand times a day causing me to work longer and harder than my body wanted BUT GOT IT DONE!!! Even got their basketball hoop hung in the process… OH YEAH I went ahead and pressure washed their outside stuff in the rain when I washed the fence LOL.. I truly believe if it’s worth doing it is worth doing RIGHT!!! I don’t know if I was just THAT TIRED or if seeing my #PrettyPenny dive in and swim under the kayak and across the 8” pool was just SOOOOOO MAGICALLY but something made my eyes swell with water that ran clear down my face and almost made me gasp for air!!!! #SheLovesIt #PRICELESS #MyGirl #MommysGirl #SheOwnsMe #LifeIsTooShortToFitIn #TheGoodStuff

#WTHeck??? She cleaned out this tub and refilled it!!!! I USED to enjoy this day!!! Now I have a #ClearView of a BIG swimming pool that is SUPPOSED to be for ME but is still sitting on the other side of the fence!!!! Imma callin #bullshit on this gig!!! She says things like “I have to take the fence down and haul some dirt up to spread out and make a level spot” it has now been WEEKS yes with a “S” and she has NOT done it!!! NOWWWWWW she is saying I have to wait until after she paints the fence because she got in trouble because there is rust on the fence!!! #WHAT??????? No way should fence paint trump #WaterPlay!!!! I think I might need a lawyer!!! My #PetHuman isn’t preforming like she should!!! #IHaveRights!!! I am a #Rhesus #Macaque and I have the NEEEEEED to SWIM not just take a bath in a rubber tub!!! I am a #Rescued #Monkey!!! I was promised a life of #PRIVILEGE!!!Somebody call Somebody before I am forced to put a #shockcollar on this woman to keep her MOVIN!!! I WANT MY BIG POOL!!!!! I DESERVE MY BIG POOL!!!! I have spent 11 YEARS waiting on a big pool and now I get to look at it sitting RIGHT OUTTA MY REACH!!!! #MakeItMakeSense!!!!

Ever just feel like busting into tears BUT JUST DONT HAVE TIME FOR A BREAKDOWN??????? Here is 1.5 minutes of my last 24 hours!!!! I swear something it feels like I am stuck in the mud buried to my axels not moving at all!!!! #WTHeck????? My well is driving me CRAZY just trying to keep running water happening!!! So I got disgusted and decided to just go ahead and hook up the water tank and haul some water!!! Of course I had to clean it out first!!! WHY DO THEY MAKE IT TO WHERE YOU CANT FIT INSIDE OF THE TANK TO SCRUB IT OUT???? I loaded it with Borax and water then swished it around as much as I could then dumped that water!!! Then I filled the capuchin pool.. Sounds easy but I couldn’t hold the hose long enough for the water to make it to the pool because it was about 2 feet short of hitting the poo…. So I went and got the other hose THAT IS NOW FILLED WITH HOLES AS YOU CAN SEE but was able to get the pool filled with it… Thinking that at LEAST the pool got filled and the EXPENSIVE STOCK TANK liquid in it so I went to be content.. Then I walked out to find THIS!!!! My dance in life is 2 steps forward and 6 steps backwards #ISwear!!!! I am assuming that it is the lining across the bottom because the drain plug is not leaking… If you would like to send some stock tank chemical to help with the #MonkKidz water play it would be GREATLY APPRECIATED!!!!! Believe it or not I work very hard around here to give these #MonkKidz the best possible life I can for the rest of their lives!!!! Not one of the #monkeys that live here receives any type of support from their previous owners… Unfortunately often the reason they are “rehomed” was they couldn’t afford them to begin with… This is the reason we don’t REQUIRE they support them in order for them to come here…That would STOP most all of them from being able to be offered a FOREVER RESCUE LIFE vs passed around from home to home giving the humans cash but the #monkeys a TON of mental trauma and loss of their ability to form troop bonds that last a lifetime like God intended!!! #TrustMe IF I SOLD MONKEYS I WOULD NEVER WANT FOR ANYTHING!!!!!! My phone rings EVERY DAY if not MULTIPLE TIMES PER DAY trying to BUY A MONKEY!!!!! That’s NOT WHAT IS HAPPENING HERE!!!!! These monkeys are FIXED and going NOWHERE from here except #Heaven when God takes them home!!!! They DESERVE the BEST and that’s what I tend for them to have!!!! When we get the biodome running they will have a source of income that will support their habitats for the rest of their life and the life of the others to come!!!! They are NOT DISPLAY MONKEYS and that is what has been so hard trying to figure out HOW they can make money (nobody else is gonna give them everything they have AND take every side job they can to give to them) WITHOUT STRESSING THEM OUT!!!! These babies will NOT be forced to go sit outside their pins so other people can walk by and look at them daily like a zoo!!! Even though we do have all the licensing to do just that exactly like a zoo would I DONT WANT THAT KIND OF STRESS ON THEM!!!! Nobody wants to be LOOKED at and talked about and neither do they!!!! The biodome will have a walk way across the top above the trees where people can pay to walk around and look at them BEING THEIRSELVES without stressing them out by being forced into a special space to be on DISPLAY!!!! At that point I pray they will have a income enough to be able to even go to the exotic animal auctions and save them by bidding on them and bringing them to be fixed and live their life out NEVER FACING SUCH SCARY EVENTS IN THEIR LIFE AGAIN!!!!! I put the water trough in the pen where #PennyRose has been staying and screwed shut the doorway that allowed #DaisyMae to the tunnel… Then I opened the end of the tunnel where #ReesieCup has been staying to allow #ReeseBullock and the #PrettyPenny in together BUT HAVING 2 WAYS OUT TO GET AWAY FROM EACH OTHER IF THEY NEED/WANT TO!!! I couldn’t believe it when I looked out and Reese was sitting IN that cold water!!!! Both #ReeseAndPenny absolutely LOVE WATER!!!! Most all macaques do as a general rule of thumb… I have bought them a 8foot METAL pool for the summer and can’t WAIT to see them in it!!! These 2 truly LOVE each other and need to be able to be together even though their size difference concerns me… Don’t get me wrong Penny Rose has a BIGGER attitude than the Reesie Cup!! I swear sometimes I think she thinks she is a gorilla!!! Reese becomes more and more of a #RealMonkey who knows his strength and power each day.. As much as I LOVE and ADORE watching him transform from a TRAPPED MONKEY in a small dog crate to a mighty monkey making decisions and testing limits it also concerns me as to HOW FAR he will go with his new found strength and dominance… SO FAR NO SIGNS OF HIM BEING AN AGGRESSIVE BEING don’t misunderstand me and the fact that he is 11 years old I am praying that his demeanor will only calm from this point… I have it set up to where Penny still has 100% access to her personal pen (works out well because I sat a dog house up as a tunnel to block the wind at the doorway and Reese does NOT like the dog house so he won’t even go into Pennys personal pin… I don’t know WHAT the ordeal is with that but he is NOT STEPPING INTO THAT DOG HOUSE!!! I even put treats and toys in it to lure him in but it’s NOT happening!! Not sure what his mind block is but hopefully over time that too will pass.. It is scary for him right now and that provides a safe getaway for Penny if a conflict did come about so I am okay with that… When it gets warm I will leave the window open and Reese has ZERO problems climbing through that.. He has zero problem going through the window tunnels.. That’s why I find it SO ODD that walking through a dog house to get in is such a BIG DEAL but it really is… #PTSD of some sort I am sure.. He connects it with something he DOESN’T WANT that’s for sure!!! I told you all that just to tell you this!!! I went to take them some popcorn and say goodnight about 9 last night..When I went in the barn there was no Penny.. Walked further and gave #DaisyMae and #GypsySue their popcorn.. They get along well and was up in the tunnel together.. That always makes my heart happy!!! Then I got down to Reese’s pin and there sat #MsPennyRose up on his swing… They weren’t cuddling but found security in being near each other!! THAT MADE MY DAY!!!! It has taken a LONG time to get to this point with these 2 but it has been OOOO SOOOOOO WORTH IT!!!! Spring is SPRINGING here at Misfitland Monkey Rescue and we couldn’t be more excited!!!! #WOW #IAm feeling like a different person health wise and I couldn’t be happier about it!!!! I, Teresa Bullock, am busting my butt daily trying to make up #WastedTime!!! I have lost years to this #BrainInfection and trying to get past it has not been an easy task BUT HERE I AM #MAKINGITHAPPEN #THANKGOD!!!! Each year I seem to MISS my opportunity when it comes to getting these trees tended to!!! Here in a couple weeks the trees are gonna be full of leaves that add massive weight and massive differences in falling the trees in the right direction… NOT THIS YEAR!!!!! This year is DIFFERENT!!! This is THE YEAR we are going to #MakeItHappen!!! Even if I end up needing a new saw blade at the end of every day!!! UGH!!!! I swear I spend WAYYYYYYY to much time putting my chain back on and #OMGOSH talk about doling the blade!!!! #LOOK how the tree had grown over the fence that was nailed to it!!! I could not figure out WHAT was happening in there!!! &&&& I am SO GLAD to get that #Jesus tree is down!!! I call it the Jesus tree because it’s what they used to make his crown of thorns out of… When messing with the tree your heart breaks getting a small sample of the pain it inflicts… I have needed to get ahead of it for YEARS now and FINALLY have it down away from the fence AND I WONT HAVE TO MOW AROUND IT as it stick me!!! #WINNING!!! I also cleared the growth around the septic drains!!! The tree I took down to start #Grace a bird Avery was SO HEAVY even #MyDad’s Kubota Tractor wouldn’t pull it!! Had to cut it again just to move it AND I ONLY PRUNED IT!!!! I biggest part is still there for Grace to play on!!!! It’s a SOLID tree!!! #HappyDance!!! You have NO CLUE how good it feels to have running water in the monkeys barn again!!!! Just being able to grab the hose and spray is a GIFT you often to forget to say #THANKZ for until you don’t have it!!! So many of our #BLESSINGS are that way!!!! Bought a car port thing for the entry gate to be able to cover it and hopefully stop the IMPOSSIBLE ICE from building up around them making it totally impossible to navigate in an extreme situation like we just went through… Say a prayer for me that I can build it without to much headache.. I DID get the antifreeze reservoir changed in my Kubota Tractor yesterday!! Was kinda proud how fast I accomplished it… #WhoKnew it could be so easy right??? #LifeIsTooShortToFitIn #TheGoodStuff #ThankYouGod #IDidItMyWay

The light at the end of the tunnel is starting to shine!!! The temperature is supposed to RISE above freezing for the first time in WEEKS!!!! NO WAY CAN ANYONE WHO DOES NOT LIVE THESE NIGHTMARES EVEN BEGIN TO UNDERSTAND WHAT ITS REALLY LIKE!!! For dang near 3 WEEKS now getting a gate to open and close has been a nightmare!!! As a matter of fact I have a wooden door that I just got to latch today after the SWELLING from this storm!!! Day after day repeating the same busting through BECAUSE IT JUST KEEPS COMING AND REFREEZING OVER AND OVER AND OVER AGAIN AND AGAIN and just getting it far enough to squeeze a bucket through trying to bring the frozen inside and the unfrozen outside!!! I gave up a week ago trying to keep the water flowing to the barn… Without having a constant heat source in the living quarters it’s impossible to keep the waterlines underneath above freezing… I have NO CLUE HOW BROKEN THINGS ARE GOING TO BE but all I can do at this point is deal with it whatever it is… Keeping the animals warm when you are in single digits for SOOOOOOOOOOOOOO LONG has been a nightmare to say the least… It has been MANY MANY MANYYYYYYY YEARS since we have STAYED this cold for this LONG!!!! I am very proud of the wild birds and how they have survived this year!!! I get SO UPSET when I find the cats have gotten one of the wild birds I feed throughout the winter… I DONT want to set them up by feeding them yet I DONT want them to starve to death either and in this SNOW they die FAST because it’s IMPOSSIBLE for them to eat if we don’t help them!!!! I always like to put the bird feeders where the chickens have access to the feed that is dropped on the ground… The least waste the better right??? ANYHOOO this year I put the feeders inside the smaller outdoor pen more so to protect the rain from the feed but after the snow just kept getting deeper vs any melting in sight I closed the door (this did loose the chickens their access) and stoped any chance of CAT access as well!!! I also had a crockpot that #AbbyLouise shoved off the counter top and broke the bowl to (accidentally I am sure) so I strapped it in to the metal bar and strapped a piece of scrap wire on rope of it for the birds to have a place to warm their little feet up on… They seem to like it..

I would like to point out that the #MonkKidz are really enjoying the #Homemade tub with a heating pad to keep the water somewhat warm.. It seems to be inviting to play and they don’t even realize that they are being “CLEANED” while they are playing… The most challenging part of winter is keeping their little bodies clean while spending so much time inside… It’s been super cold this winter so the outside play time has been shorter of course… Outside is very healthy for them for multiple reasons and cleanliness is one of those reasons… I like them to always have access to WATER PLAY!! Not the drinking water but just water for toys and such!! I put baking soda and some peroxide in the water to help cleanse the little fingers and other body parts that make it to the water and it makes me feel better about them constantly snacking all day long.. I am ALWAYS trying to find ways to encourage good health for these #MonkKidz and I have been quite impressed with this little #WIN

#SomebodysKnocking!!! Should I let him in??? I live with 12 monkeys and have to admit that I yes I broke the top glass of this window TWICE and the bottom glass once!!! ALL THREE BREAKS HAPPENED TRYING TO HANG MONKEY ENRICHMENT ITEMS AND TO LAZY TO GO GET A LADDER AND DO THINGS RIGHT vs EASY!!!! I found this adorable little cat door many moons ago on marketplace and knew one day I could find a place to use it and TA-DA here it is!!! Major screw ups??? Placed the door DIRECTLY UNDER the hanging feed dish so EVERYTHING is falling down on it!!! I didn’t put any glass back in it to try to control my clumsy butt from busting it AGAIN.. I HAVE to get back to the other projects that I have open but I am so happy to know that a breaking and entering is unlikely while doing them will give me some peace!!! If people ONLY KNEW the CONSTANT TEST that I am under they would sympathize with the failures I have to overcome!!! Seriously it’s #SoHard trying to be #PERFECT when I am so NOT and the #MonkKidz has 24/7 to WATCH every move I make or dont make!!! It takes ONE yes just ONE left the door unlocked, the cabinet open, the phone laying within reach, the hose to close, the ANYTHING they are ready with they’re opposable thumbs to wreaking havoc quicker than you can blink an eye!!! Then the ONLY ONE TO BE UPSET WITH IS ME!!!!!! I CHOOSE this life and I do everything within my power to accept responsibility for the consequences of MY CHOICES!! They are #MONKEYS!!! God installed the desire to HUNT in them and anyone trying to uninstall it is WRONG!!! They have to have their own HUNTING SPACE and they ARE going to have it despite the fact that they are hunting inside EXPENSIVE items that do not contain food!!! This is why I order television remote controls in bulk!!! Don’t matter that they have taken apart 50 remotes before this one!!! They WILL take the new one apart as soon as the opportunity arrives just to make SURE that there isn’t anything to eat inside it as well… It’s God given INSTINCT so you must accept it if you are going to have a relationship with them… #IsWhatItIs #TheGoodStuff #LifeIsTooShortToFitIn Isn’t #MightyMaurice #ADORABLE??????
