My name is #LittleLueLue and this is my #BFF #DieselDog!!! We do EVERYTHING TOGETHER!!! Lately we have been dealing with a TON of rain… I mean a TONNNNNN of rain.. As a matter of fact there are peoples HOMES FLOATING down the #OhioRiver just 3 miles from our home… PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE PRAY FOR THEM!!!!! Their ENTIRE LIFE AS THEY KNEW IT IS GONE!!!!!! Thank God we are far enough up the hill that we are not flooded but it is dang near impossible to go anywhere because the roads are closed all over due to water levels… ITS REALLY SERIOUS!!! I have not really been to stressed by the entire situation other than me and D dog haven’t been able to play get that pig in weeks!!! Oh sure we have played get that cat while locked inside but let’s face it that game is rather boring especially when played inside… First thing that happens when we start playing is #AbbyLouise who is SO MUCH like Angel Bullock when it comes to kitty cats it isn’t even funny… The second she hears the cat start to run or ANYTHING for that matter, she comes huffing and puffing at us like she’s a gorilla gonna handle the situation… Then the next thing you hear is #TheHuman coming after all of us with a lecture about how we must all get along and BLAH BLAH BLAH!! I get sick of hearing it because I wasn’t the one running my mouth!!! I was only playing with my dog!!! We never actually “CATCH” the cats!!! It’s just about watching them run… Abby is the one with the AbbyTude trying to make a mountain outta a mole hill so that lecture has to be centered around her #NotMe!!! Anyhoo one thing that we do enjoy about the nasty weather is the luxury of just lounging on the couch snuggling grooming each other.. Well I have to do most of the work but it’s relaxing to me so I don’t mind… He’s a hot mess but he is my hot mess and that’s all that matters to me… #ILoveHim and #HeLovesMe we are #FAMILY I don’t care what anyone else thinks about our odd relationship… I have no doubt we were built to be together!!! #DontJudgeMe #MindYourBusiness #WeAreFamily #LifeIsTooShortToFitIn #TheGoodStuff

#AbbyLouise the #CapuchinMonkey #Trainer #IAm!!! I am not one to brag but I have this capuchin thing down to an art!!! They literally fight over who is going to groom me!!! Little #OpieRae will sneak up almost as though she is asking permission to approach me and enter my personal bubble.. This is a move made with caution because if I am not in the mood to have someone in my personal bubble I will smack my little hand down at the intruder, drop my mouth wide open leaning forward and make it known that is NOT a good idea… Hey I am 23 now and don’t have the same patience that I used to for nonsense!!! They know to respect me and my wishes because I am #TheQueen of Misfitland Monkey Rescue and they know that 9 chances out of 10 they are the ones who will be booted out for causing drama not me!!! Once in a while she says that I am the one who started it but usually she always sees it #MyWay!!! I guess everyone has the right to be wrong now and then!!! #Right??? Anyhoo back to the #MonkeyTraining I was talking about… I have taught them to respect the boundaries and to realize the #PRIVLEDGE that goes with being allowed to touch such #royalty has myself… I enjoy the Opie touch because it’s a very gentle touch that makes me feel happy inside… When comparing the Opie touch to the touch of #GunnerBoeh the difference is undisputed!!! Oh sure that Opie touch is a happy one the touch of Gunner is completely satisfying to the point I will relax completely getting myself in some extremely odd positions to allow him to get every single speck of my perfect little #QueenSize body… I have a lot more trust in Gunner than I do #MissOpie!!! I am almost positive that if Opie would speak to a professional she would be diagnosed as #Bipolar but that’s just my unprofessional opinion.. js #LifeIsTooShortToFitIn #TheGoodStuff

Photo dump… I am SO THANKFUL to be feeling so much better and AWAKE!!! MY MIND FEELS AWAKE!!! I have more good days than bad now PRAISE GOD!!! My vision has improved something unbelievable!!! My headaches are getting SO MUCH LIGHTER and more bearable no doubt!!! My balance has improved by 75% or more THANK GOD!!! My overall body pain level has went wayyyy down!! I am able to remember things and conversations SOOOOOOOO MUCH MORE!!! I have been ON TIME for things recently THATS HUGE!!! There is NO POSSIBLE WAY ANYONE COULD POSSIBLY UNDERSTAND HOW MUCH A BRAIN INFECTION CAN AFFECT YOUR ABILITY TO SURVIVE!!!! I have been on the right track for a little over 2 years now and it is not completely healed by any means BUT IT IS GETTING BETTER VS WORSE EVERY DAY AND YOU HAVE NOOOOOOO IDEA HOW WONDERFUL THAT FEELS!!! #Blessed

All I hear is #GunnerBoeh let’s do this or #HeyGunner why don’t you help me do that.. It can be down right #EXHAUSTING some days!!! Just being honest.. See I am #TheHumans #ESA and #TrustMe that can be a #overtime job within itself some days.. #Then there is the fact that I have become #KingGroomer of #MisfitlandMonkeyRescue and ALL the others crave me!! The #MostDemanding one would certainly have to be #AbbyLouise!! Let me tell you she has #NoProblem not only letting me know #WHEN she wants groomed but she will also point out #EXACTLY where she wants to start.. I guess when you get to be the ripe old age of 23 you have finally figured out what you like and how you like it with out the need of wasting time trying to let someone else figure it out.. I believe in acceptance of each other’s differences.. We are each built with unique qualities designed for our individual purpose AND THATS OKAY!!! It doesn’t mean we can’t respect each other’s differences and even embrace them by working together!! Why shouldn’t a dog lay peacefully with a cat??? Why shouldn’t cat lay peacefully with a bird??? Whyyy shouldn’t a bird be able to sleep SAFE and soundly in the comfort of the body heat of the cat and dog that society believes should be her predators??? THESE THINGS ARE POSSIBLE!!! The difference is that these precious creatures live at Misfitland Monkey Rescue in Moscow Ohio and they are corrected when they are less than reasonable with each other.. They are told to be nice when differences arise and reminded that we are friends who love each other.. This quickly turns the drama into a lesser deal that dissipates quickly when redirected to kindness… I can’t help but to believe that a LOT of the drama in this world could be handled the same way with the same results if the kind people of the world would SPEAK UP and remind each other of the things we overreact to vs letting things go to the point of hateful behavior and words.. GOSH THIS WOMAN IS SOOOOOOO FAR BEHIND ON UPDATING YALL I HAD TO START MAKING NOTES TO REMIND HER!!!! Don’t worry I wrote it down on the birthday card that the #BabyBee and her Humom sent so that it wouldn’t get thrown away accidentally… Big BIg BIG THINGS HAVE BEEN HAPPENING!!! Since #GypsySue moved in on April 3, 2024 trying to figure out who she belongs with has been an issue… See she was with #DaisyMae all summer and overall it worked out.. The only drawback was the only #RealTime that they would spend even near each other was when #TheHuman would be inside the pen with them.. Of course she would have to speak with them and make sure it all remained calm reminding them of how beautiful they were and how much she lovez them along with how proud she was of them for being good over and Over and OVER again but it worked.. However #MyHuman is like having a noisy neighbor and was constantly watching them for signs of BONDING without her in the pen.. Truth is when they were near each other with her in the pen it was to be near the #Humom not each other… See us #MonkKidz are a LOT more like yall than you might think!!! Just because we are the #SameSpecies doesn’t mean we WANT to hang out together!!! (Truth is when we first get here we don’t know that we are monkeys!!! We think we are humans because we are raised as one) #GippySue and #Daisy didn’t argue and fight BUT THEY OBVIOUSLY DIDNT FEEEEEEL THE #FRIENDSHIP MY #PETHUMAN WAS HOPING FOR!!! Gypsy wanted to be friends but Daisy was not interested in hanging out with her.. After #RalphieD made his sudden departure ALLLLLLL of us were left missing a piece of us ESPECIALLY the human and #PennyRose!!! Finding a #NewNormal is the hardest part of loosing a #TroopMember.. Trying to ease the pain my human spiced up Penny’s play area by moving things around making changes to the normal Penny was used to.. This also allowed us to move Gypsy over next to Penny (they are on the same energy level) but she was not even considering letting them in together BECAUSE THEY ARE BOTH MOMMY GIRLS WHO WOULD GLADLY FIGHT FOR THE ATTENTION OF THE HUMAN!!! No way could it be like it was between Gypsy and Daisy that was a no brainer!!! The jealousy between them and ANYONE near the human is #OffTheHook #DELUXE by BOTH of them so a bonding time was needed!!! I mean they had seen each other before and such but not long enough periods of time to BOND as friends but only to bully at that point… For the longest time the human would only talk to them when she went into the barn IF THEY WERE BEING NICE TO EACH OTHER OR IGNORING EACH OTHER ALTOGETHER!!! They are both #MacaqueMonkeys and learned VERY QUICKLY that if they started running their mouths or trying to smack at each other through the cage she would leave!! She would always make sure they both realized WHY she was leaving because we all know that their greatest desire is to be with her and taking that away is her best move… She would stand in the back rooom watching them out of the window ALLLLLLLLL the time… Before long I t became a REGULAR THING to look out and see them grooming each other through the fence!!! #HeartWarming #NoDoubt!!! After a couple months of watching them BOND she opened the gate door to allow them to be together… After that she would stay away as much as possible knowing that she could easily trigger a fight by interacting with them.. #MonkeyJealousy is SO REAL and MUST BE RESPECTED so eye contact was minimal along with to much personal interaction for a couple weeks and is still very selective to avoid #DRAMA between the two Queens.. She CAN go in the pen with both of them now but they are still on #HighAlert so she must be careful with her actions BUT ITS MAKING #MyHumommy #SoHappy about the achievement and STILL spends WAYYYYY to much time watching them out the window!! Now she is just watching because they crack her up with the shenanigans that they are up to!!! She can’t wait to see them in their swimming pool this summer!!! I have TONZZZZZ more to update you about but right now I am having a #CricketCraving that MUST be satisfied.. So this is reporter #GunnerBoeh signing off for now.. #LifeIsTooShortToFitIn

Abby Louise is QUEEN MONKEY here at Misfitland Monkey Rescue!! Upon arrival here a few years ago Abby was unable to climb (we thought it was due to her broken tail throwing her balance off) so she always stayed down low and would only hop to another area IF it was close again making me think the tail was a issue with balance and feeling safe for her.. The tail is a MAJOR part of balance with an old world monkeys.. They will wrap it around the branch that they are sitting on like a security cable and walk a fence line perfectly with it centered straight up in the air to hold their balance just right!! Abby’s tail has grown completely sideways even making it hard to keep it clean between the top of her tail and her bottom.. ITS SAD knowing she has grown up like that too.. The vet believes that when she got in trouble that the owner has swung her EXTREMELY HARD and broken the tail and left her without medical treatment afterwards allowing it to just grow back however.. When I say broken I don’t mean a hairline fracture!!! This thing is COMPLETELY SIDEWAYS!!! This would have been SNAPPED IN TWO!!!! Makes me wanna puke when I think about it in depth!!!!! I have had monkeys over 28 years now and OFTEN use the tail as a way to hold/control them.. It’s a very durable body attachment… I can’t even begin to imagine how much FORCE had to be behind the attack that done this to this poor baby!!! ANYWAY I told you that in order to tell you this!!! Abby Louise has now MASTERED THE ART OF CLIMBING!!!!! I swear to you she will pull herself hand over hand up the swing to get in the hammock I have hanging from the ceiling for the Monk Kidz!!! Not only that but she also CLIMBS ACROSS THE ROPE LADDER THAT RUNS FROM THE FLAT HAMMOCK OVER TO THE BANANA HAMMOCK LIKE A ROCKSTAR!!!! She has been doing it for a couple months now and I am telling you it’s a MIRACLE!!!! I have noticed a LOT more body muscles on her than she used to have and she has lost some weight as well but not as much as you would think… I think it’s because muscle weighs quite a bit.. She is eating crickets now and even hunting down the ones that gets loose.. I will NEVER forget the look on her face the first time I offered her live crickets!!! If looks could speak she would have called me bat sh*t crazy I swear!!!! It was HYSTERICAL!!! It honestly only took a few months before I saw her moving across the floor chasing one and then of course every hunter has to eat their hunt.. She now LOVEZ all types of bugs and meal worms and that makes my heart SO HAPPY!! She lives a life of PRIVILEGE due to her overwhelming cuteness and great behavior so she thinks she RUNS the entire place AND SO DO THE OTHER MONKEYS!!! They ALL bow to her!! They will groom her even though they are not supposed to even like each other.. Where else do you get New World Monkeys being totally submissive to Old World Monkeys??? ONLY AT MISFITLAND MONKEY RESCUE that’s where… hehe

Getting to be the one who not only tends to the needs of these uniquely individual beings but also gets to encourage the PEACE and LOVE between them is a God sent gift.. THANK YOU!!! Watch them share affection and enrichment by doing the natural desires of their hearts such as grooming and being groomed.. This is an EXTREMELY IMPORTANT BEHAVIOR that they NEED to express in order to be content and feel comfortable mentally and physically… Realizing that both the old world macaque monkey along with the new world capuchin monkey can experience this kind of contentment together is heartwarming for me to say the least.. They own me.. Life is too short to fit in!

How many capuchins do you see tending to Java macaques???? BLESSED I AM!!! Don’t get me wrong it isn’t like they ALWAYS get along but neither do the kids at daycare…  THANK YOU!!!! I often look around at the animal oddities happening here at Misfitland Monkey Rescue and say a great big THANK YOU GOD FOR CHOOSING ME TO TEND TO THEM!!! I can not wait to open the first biodome that is going to allow you access to walk around and view the monk kidz in the natural environment without stressing the monkeys out by feeling like they are on display being stared at.. ITS GOING TO BE EPIC DELUXE FOR BOTH HUMAN AND NONHUMAN PRIMATES ALIKE!! I have this DREAM and I can’t wait for it to be a reality that will provide a “STRESS FREE” way for the rescued animals to have enough income to provide not only their necessities but their wants as well as providing a income to KEEP RESCUING AND PROVIDING A FOREVER HOME WITH ANIMALS THAT ARE FIXED AND NOT BREEDING BUT JUST LIVING THEIR BEST LIFE FOR THE REST OF THEIR LIFE!! It’s been a struggle for me because I never in any way thought about making money with a monkey 28 years ago when I got my Angel Bullock… I planed to support her just like any other pet I brought home BUT NOW THAT ITS A RESCUE AND WILL OUTLIVE ME EVERYTHING HAS CHANGED!!!! However these monkeys are NOT display animals and are NOT going to be forced to do things like sit out in a small area feeling like a freak with people walking by pointing and laughing at them stealing their dignity and pride.. I want them to have a PERFECT hunting/foraging area like good intended for them to have along with the luxuries us humans taught them to enjoy.. GOD WILLING IMMA GOING TO MAKE IT HAPPEN!!! They own me!! Life is too short to fit in!!

The things I look over and see in the Monkeys Living room makes my heart thump with massive force of pure LOVE and HAPPINESS!!! How often do you witness an adult black cap capuchin grooming an adult Java Macaque?? Grooming isn’t something that just anyone gets!! You must be considered IMPORTANT to get THIS kind of VIP treatment!!! Miss Abby Louise is certainly considered VIP around here!! ESPECIALLY BY GUNNER BOEH!! She is the oldest Java macaque monkey at the rescue being 23 years old.. Abby certainly has the crown of a Queen when it comes to the respect of the other monk kidz around here!! She is extremely sweet and extremely sassy!!! As soon as things don’t go her way she will smack her little adorable hand down in anger and drop her little mouth open to show her dominance and threat… ITS SO CUTE!!! I have to remind her now and then that she’s not the only spoiled monkey here and that we all have to share!! We are privileged to have Abby as part of our troop!!  They own me!! Welcome to my crazy life.. Here you will see a Mighty Diaper-less Maurice strutting his stuff (proud he took his diaper off) while playing with his bird Grace.. Grace is a 25 year old blue and gold mccaw well known for her loud mouth and annoying demands.. She has been raised with monkeys and I kinda think she is confused about what species she really is.. She doesn’t know if she’s a monkey, cat, dog, or human but she never considers herself a bird.. Yeah at first glance it could appear that this playtime is dangerous but then after studying the interaction you will be able to come to the conclusion that it is just all fun and games for these critters as they enjoy each others company.. I feel so blessed knowing what is happening right here in my own living room is more entertaining than ANYTHING going off the farm.. I LOVE BEING A PET HUMAN!!!! Greatest job EVER!!! They own me.. Life is too short to fit in!!
